Eckerts Country Restaurant -Food CA (Near Belleville)

Danni D I contacted this restaurant for my parent’s 49th anniversary celebration and they were the only restaurant in Edwardsville that was willing to accommodate 45 people the day after Thanksgiving. The customer service was excellent. The atmosphere was great and the food was excellent. My family had a great time. I recommend this restaurant to Anyone that wants to enjoy good Mexican food. Krista Kanady We stopped by after some Christmas shopping on 12/10/25 and were greeted right away by the host, who was very friendly. Our waitress came over quickly to take our order and brought our drinks out in no time. Whoever was in the kitchen that night absolutely knocked it out of the park—the food was amazing and fresh! We haven’t been to this location in a while, and we were very impressed with the overall service. We’ll definitely be going back!

Danielle We had a great experience at the James. Andrew was our server and he was phenomenal! One of our friends has celiacs disease and he made sure that evening was taken care of so she didn’t have to worry. The GF menu is huge! And honestly as someone who isn’t GF, the GF blue crab dip and bread was delicious. The crème brûlée is a must try! 10/10 would recommend coming here. The food, the vibes, the drinks, the service - all wonderful!

Cara Nelson The wait staff is always friendly. The food is amazing - never had a bad meal there! The pizza is awesome and can be ordered any time of day. I ordered one at breakfast to take home for lunch. There is always a wait for a table on weekends - this goes to show you how great of spot it is!!

B J Our waitress was wonderful. I wish I had gotten her name to put on this review. I loved all the different dishes under "The Berry Best Yolks Favorites" column! I got the Chunky Monkey crepes, and they were so good! I went with my mom, her dish is the other picture. She loved her food as well and thought she got a pretty decent amount for the price! Overall, great experience, great food, great staff! I told my mom this will be our new breakfast spot because I absolutely need to try everything on the Berry Best favorites column!! Edit: 7/22/25. We had breakfast here today. Tried the Eskimo Waffle. It was delicious! A huge waffle with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, strawberries, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and powdered sugar! I added a pic of it. Cant wait to come back and try something else!
