Mattox Pugh This quaint little restaurant was truly a surprise find. I was extremely skeptical, as to the number of reviews and that it’s in the middle of nowhere, as most aren’t that good. The owner was very nice, though the food was a little slow, but it’s justified since there was only the owner, AND it’s all home cooked. First was the corned beef smoked sandwich, and it was very good. The meat was well prepared, and the bread was toasted nice and added to the overall taste. The restaurant allows ordering any dish (including breakfast dishes) all throughout the day. So I got the breakfast sandwich. It was two over hard (?) eggs with sausage and pepper jack, and it was so tasty. The sausage was well cooked, the eggs weren’t overdone. Very delicious. And finally was the grand breakfast with eggs, potatoes, toast, and gravy. Similar to the breakfast sandwich, it was all masterfully cooked.
10/10, I’d definitely recommend!
