El Huichol De Don Memo - (Near Joliet, IL)

5 /5 Tefi Camacho: Im not a seafood fan, but what I like about Huichol is: sushi, deep-fried tilapia, and ceviche. The dishes are well-served. The waitress did mention that the menu prices werent updated; everything had gone up two or three dollars. I havent had any problems when I go to the restaurant; the staff is friendly, and the food is ready quickly.

1 /5 J P: Ordered the Caldo siete mares and they used imitation crab. All pictures of the soup on their menu & on doordash clearly show real crab legs. Not only is it false advertisement but the price of this item isn’t justified for what you receive. Most of the soup was veggies, couples shrimps, couple muscles, and a heaping amount of imitation crab. I wanted to throw up. I’m a content creator and was hoping to share this business on my viral platforms but after receiving this I was beyond disappointed. First time ever receiving imitation crab in siete mares. I get this soup every weekend and decided to try a new place- in the whole Chicagoland area- every single place I’ve been will include real crab legs. Not only am I disgusted but I’m also irritated I wasted my money on a business that falsely advertised their own menu item. So many other Mariscos restaurants to go to- don’t waste your money here with overpriced menu items and all kinds of random fees including $1.50 for LIMES. Absolutely never again.

5 /5 Mark Stromberg: I had a very very good experience here. To start off, instead of chips and salsa, they give ceviche with seafood and large chips. I went with the fried snapper which was amazing. The fish was about a foot long and fried perfectly and came with rice and beans. I was with a group of friends and our water glasses were always full. Service was above average and good came out fairly quick. Please check out this local gem in Joliet. Cheers!!

1 /5 Ernesto Rodriguez: I ordered in Spanish to make sure my order would be hopefully made correctly. When I see the bag with my name now having an "H" even though for the last 30 some years I knew my name. That should have been a hint that the order was wrong. Get home and come to find out am missing a platter. I called and Im told the person didnt hear correctly, which makes sense since theres a "H" now on my name. I will never again go here. Ill be responsible moving forward to check my order before leaving, due to fact I should have done that. But it is what it is.
