El Toro - (Near Danville, IL)

Bill A cozy Italian experience in an earthy space with warm & welcoming staff. The meal was solid: the arancini were crispy and rich, the pappardelle had a lovely texture with hearty short ribs, and the risotto was full of flavor with tender lamb cubes. The pork shank was also satisfying, accompanied by well-seasoned vegetables. For dessert, the crème brûlée was decadently rich, while the butternut squash cheesecake was flavorful without being overly sweet. Overall, a hearty and low-key Italian fare in the heart of Lincoln Park.

Mikey B Truly a beautiful small family business. I come here a lot and I never see this place packed, but it should be. Sure, it’s not your charming dine-in experience. Makes you feel like you’re eating street food inside. Needs some help with the ambience but the food hits. Those women crank it out and it’s all delicious too. Best pad Thai around. 10/10 recommend

Sean Hall Hosted our large group very well. Food was great and tasty. First time having birria tacos and they were great, although a little fatty on the meat. Menu is huge. Must be a local favorite.

Dakota Kernahan What a wonderful little slice of Americana diner in the middle of nowhere. My wife and I stopped by here after we got too tired on our road trip (and stayed at the comfort inn and suites nextdoor). The service was top notch here. Our coffee cups and water glasses were never more than half empty. Great banter with the waitress. My wife had the biscuits and gravy omelette, and I had the texas skillet. Absolutely incredible, 10/10 recommend. Especially the biscuits and gravy omelette, that was divine. Highly recommend his little spot if you are driving through and are hungry.

Lisa Dillon One of our favorite places to eat. Weve been eating at Little Mexico for over 45 years! Ive never found the Cheese and Onion Enchiladas with the gravy anywhere else and they are delicious. We love the beef hard shell tacos too! Excellent service every time we go. We drove approximately 60 miles just to eat there and it was well worth it! Delicious!

Mark Loucks They have some of the best smoked meats around. Their sides are always perfect as well. They now serve STL style pizza. Ribs are a 10 out of 10! We have used their Catering as well always a crowd pleaser!!!
