Ernies Family Restaurant - (Near Pekin, IL)

Staci We stopped here for lunch while traveling through the area. We had never been to a Freddys before, and were really glad we spotted it. I had the #1, and it was delicious! My son had the hot dog, and he said it was really good. It was gone in a blink, so it must have been pretty tasty! I also ordered a small pumpkin pie concrete custard, and it was perfect...lots of gooey crust and pumpkin pie flavor. My son loved the fried curds. We had a great visit!

Briana McDade The best restaurant breakfast I have ever had! The food was all high quality and “real” unlike some breakfast places. The portions were also HUGE! I ate the Paxton Skillet and the kiddos had pancakes with eggs, bacon and sausage! Definitely worth the drive! The place was also very clean and well kept for a small place! The waitresses were very friendly. Highly recommend!

Lynsee Melchi What an amazing treasure for our community! The food here is very simple and very delicious. Simple done to perfection. When my boyfriend and I first started eating there we would go two days in a row because we loved it so much. And it tastes like Honduras. It’s often full of people eating tasty food together, so you know people love it. The aguas are great. I love the avena (hot oatmeal drink). Everything I have had here is delicious. Don’t wait…go get a baleada!

Tyesha Coleman I absolutely love coming here when I do. I am not a big breakfast person, however, this is my spot when I do. Our server, Othell was amazing!! He knew the menu and sold us on the special. I loved the enthusiasm!! You don’t get that anymore! Such a great family restaurant and atmosphere!! Thank you for the experience. Ps, grits so good you don’t need no sugar haha

Doug Kindred JR start offs saying excellent place to enjoy a good food good people. 100% recommend this restaurant and another one in this town Id have to say * toss up who I would choose on the number one sandwich and fries" both places have excellent cooks/ workers ... The waitresses all have the best smiles,very friendly.. steaks or cooked as you order or sandwiches aka the number one sandwich I would recommend will be the mushroom and Swiss / a switch add American cheese instead mushrooms were cooked excellent although could used a little bit more mushrooms in my opinion other food delicious as well appetizers included frog legs would have been a good suggestion.
