Their food is phenomenal, with massive, juicy burgers that are easily some of the best in Freeport. The homemade, hand-cut fries and chips are crisp, golden perfection, and their cheese curds? Easily the best in the region—crispy, gooey, and full of flavor. But what truly blew me away were the chicken strips—tender, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. The portions are generous, and the prices are incredibly fair, making Grasshoppers a fantastic choice for anyone craving delicious, hearty comfort food without breaking the bank. 5 /5 MMM: Stopped in passing through while visiting family. My mushroom/Swiss burger was a 1/2 pound burger with such flavor to the mushrooms, and could actually taste the cheese! The onion rings were nice, big round thick slices. Able to bite right through them. ( did not pull the whole onion out with first bite). We are looking forward to trying more items on the menu next time in town. Hopfully menu and food remains consistent. We parked on the street, but looked like large parking lot just across from front door. Owners were very friendly and welcoming. Clean establishment. Not a large place, we ate at the bar, but do offer tables to sit at if you choose.
