4 /5 Tony Anczer: 10-3-25 dining at the Great Wall King Buffet
Pricing:
(Drinks are included in the pricing)
Monday - Friday, lunch, 11:00pm-3:30pm, $15.71
Monday - Friday, dinner 3:30-8:00pm, $17.56 ($19.00 with tax)
Weekends and Holidays, $17.56 ($19.00 with tax)
All in all, it was worth $19.00 for the food and drinks. The food selection is a little less than what I’m used to at a Chinese buffet, but this is Kankakee, and I’m used to more Chicago area venues. That said, I did not think the food selection was lacking.
The good:
- the plate clearing ladies were friendly
- I like that you pay at entrance before you sit down to eat
- the buffet and eating area were clean
- the food was fresh and plentiful (I was there at 5:30pm on a Friday)
The bad:
- there is no sushi
- there is no hibachi grill
- the seafood salad (one of my favorite items), was had significantly too much mayonnaise
- bathroom was not the best kept (as an aside, this bathroom had the most caulk applied that I’ve ever seen in a bathroom - it may be worth going just to see how much caulk was used in the bathroom!)
Miscellaneous comments:
- there’s a whole back room, so you could have an event here
