Sylvester F So many great things I can say but they will never do justice to visiting Poppy’s in person. Definitely one of the best stops in Waukegan for a burger, hot dogs, gyro or italian beef. The prices are great for the portions you get, and they never skip on flavor at all. Great customer service, staff is always friendly and the rare times I’ve experienced a problem they never hesitated to solve it. Parking is a little tight but if you come at the right time you will have no problem. Been coming here for some years and theres a reason I always come back, keep doing what you are doing.

Ann Trumpy 1st visit. Had the day off and seen her Facebook videos so we had to try. Drove an hour to try. The food was good. Pancakes were sweet. I will try them next time. I sampled one on another plate. American Asian food. We liked everything we tried. Large variety off food offered.

Aisha The name of the restaurant is just right. I tried thier beef fried rice on a quest to find my favorite Chinese restaurant and now I crave thier food (something about the taste is unique and I can seem to place my finger on it or find that anywhere else) every once in a while. I drive an hour from my house just to get it when that craving hits. The customer service is also top notch, really nice and friendly people. 10/10 would recommend

Nathaly Ruelas-Castillo Theirs something for everybody. I truly enjoyed my chicken avocado sandwich. It was a great portion size & kept me full. I also want to mention their salsas were spot on. My sandwich came with a chipotle sauce that paired perfectly.

Jonathan DeWitt Yummy food but slow service. Dont go here if you are in a rush. If you can wait though its worth it! You have to get the bread sticks!

Melvin C Larry’s Pit BBQ – Sunday Morning Drive-Thru Delight We stopped at Larry’s Pit BBQ bright and early on a Sunday morning at 7:20 AM, and let me tell you—it was worth the early rise. We pulled into the drive-thru, passing the first window where the menu board lives (seems like it’s more for decoration these days) and rolled on to the next window. A pleasant young lady greeted us with a smile and asked if we had called ahead. We hadn’t, but she took our order quickly and with a friendly manner. We went for two breakfast platters: two eggs over easy, perfectly cooked breakfast potatoes, and hearty biscuits smothered in rich, creamy gravy. One platter came with four plump sausage links, the other with four crispy bacon strips—both generous portions that would satisfy any appetite. Payment was quick (yes, they do like to be paid everywhere we go), and the wait was surprisingly short for such a freshly made breakfast. The same friendly young lady brought our order right to the window, hot and ready to enjoy. If you’re looking for a no-fuss, tasty, and hearty breakfast served with a smile, Larry’s Pit BBQ is the place to go. We’ll be back—probably hungrier than ever.
