Hectors Cocina - (Near Oregon, IL)

5 /5 Scott Heidemann: I love Mexican food, especially when it’s authentic. I am not from the area but a patient was having lunch (Hector’s carry out) and couldn’t help but noticed how good it smelled and looked and had to try it out. 3 areas that separate Mexican restaurants are: their salsa, chips and taco salads. They were all amazing. Chips were thick and crispy, both salsas were made in house (the green was spicy, but it complemented the lettuce to calm it down). Not from around here but will definitely make this a reason to come back. A little pricey for what I ordered but the experience was good

5 /5 Debra Wakefield: We stumbled upon this little place for lunch while in Oregon, IL and glad we did! The cafe was very clean and the young lady taking our order was kind and attentive. Then our tacos came and they were delicious!! I am sad I dont have a picture to share, I ate it before I thought to do so!

5 /5 Anurag Anand: I had an Enchilada and it was possibly the most authentic Enchilada i ever had. A very simple place but with great quality and affordable food, Hector’s Cocina is located inside a historic mall. A complimentary watermelon drink drove home the wow factor, considering its about 80% humidity at about 85 degrees. Definitely would recommend, and would be delighted to bring my friends here.
