Jims Steak House - (Near Bloomington, IL)

5 /5 Alisa Jo Phillips: Food was excellent, service was good from everyone but our server. Didnt give us menus, got up and got them myself, the 4 top beside us got served before the 2 of us, I was willing to let that go until she had to go by my table, to bring me the mashed potatoes that I reminded her about, to give the 4 top a wine refil. I got up to get the peppermill that wasnt offered. Our water was not kept full by her. I understand she knew the 4 top, and maybe they tip well, but we do too, for good service. Even for substandard sometimes, I couldnt forgive the walking by me, with my potatoes to hand someone else wine. Food was excellent and would definitely return.

5 /5 Logan Andreoni: Had an amazing anniversary with my girlfriend this evening at Jims. It was a great meal with wonderful service. I have pictured my T-bone cooked medium rare. A little bit chilly inside and we sat near the fireplace, but thats just my opinion :) we will definitely be returning!!!!

1 /5 Shelly Lynne: First time here. My mistake, I thought it was a sister restaurant to Jim’s in Peoria which has some of the best food I’ve ever had. THIS IS NOT EVEN IN THE SAME FAMILY TREE!!! Terrible food, service, and atmosphere. I made reservations here for our work Christmas party last week. I should have known when it was easy to get in that people aren’t really running to eat here. We had a larger party and were sat at two tables which I was not told would happen. The waitresses were not very friendly and worn out looking. Don’t expect doting waitstaff that works at making your experience wonderful which you would expect at these prices. They are not that. In fact, one kept snapping at my people. The food was terrible. The appetizers were ok but the staff kept saying that some of the appetizers were out so when my guests would ask for something but say if it’s out, bring me this instead, the waitresses brought both appetizers. (I didn’t know that until we left and my guest told me that because I would’ve had them take the extra appetizers off the bill. Talk about gouging) And one appetizer we didn’t order at all which was a calamari and she said well you’ve already put it on your order so you may as well eat it and dropped it in the middle of one of our tables and I had to pay for it. The steaks all came out in different sizes though they were the same cuts and so massively undercooked that most of the people couldn’t eat the middles. None of the sides came out with the protein but 5-10 minutes later after most people had finished their proteins and were done eating. One of our guests didn’t get her food until everyone was totally done. It took forever to get our ticket and I finally had to ask for it and the waitress snapped at me and said we have to make sure we get it right because if we forget a steak on your bill we have to pay for it!! Um ok! I was told by a couple of our guests their food was totally cold. And a couple others that used the bathrooms said they were disgusting. And to top it all off, I spent $2000 for all these meals. It was not worth one penny of that money. Will never be back.

5 /5 MICHELE GAUSSELIN: My husband went with my son and a colleague tonight, and I asked my husband to bring me home a lobster tail. I have dined at the restaurant before and it was awesome, but the takeout was also incredible! The chef is consistent and great! FYI I’m new from Chicago Suburbs and I appreciate a good joint like this!

1 /5 Di Ar: Don’t Eat Here…….I came here for dinner with my wife expecting an upscaled nice atmosphere unfortunately we did not experience that. We felt unwelcomed the entire time we were in the restaurant. Dennys has better service than this place does and the food is 10% of the cost. We sat around waiting for 20min for the check the waitress wouldn’t even look our way, i asked the bust-boy for my check. Another recent review that posted on here is pretty much the same experience we had.
