4 /5 Ubunibi-Afia Short: We ventured into this unknown to us restaurant and were greeted warmly by the lady behind the counter. Hubs had the Buttermilk Connection that he deemed very delicious and I had an omelet with spinach, feta, and tomato with French toast and "American fries" " As you can see from the photograph, those diced potatoes are what the restaurant calls American fries, unlike every other restaurant we have ever been to. My French toast was a bit runny in the center and the food had hospital-like seasoning, i.e. a no-salt diet plan. The cranberry juice and hot coffee were great though. and the staff was sweet as pie. They had ample parking but we had to circle the building on foot to find and handicap accessible ramp. Would we come here again? Meh maybe, due to the sweet staff but we definitely will not be ordering their American fries.

5 /5 Chris Montan: Holy buckets we accidentally came across this ma & pa gem when our first option turned out to be not what we expected. Love that this place was fairly packed and we still got seated right away. Service was absolutely amazing and fast, with the food following that same ethos. We loved the taste and the portions, especially for the prices they were charging. This is a diner type restaurant full of nostalgic charm and terrific food. I chose the Porky Pig Skillet which was the perfect choice for a meat lover like myself. Got a pancake as my starchy side which was also perfection in flavor & texture. If we ever even come through Rockford again, this joint will be at the top of our must do list no doubt.

5 /5 Black Mariah: The food was fantastic! They make everything specific to your order. I always order over medium eggs. It usually trips up the service somewhere, not at Johnny Pamcakes though! You can customize your meal and the server will provide substitutions despite the menu saying mo substitutions please." I will definitely return. As busy as they were, we got a table pretty quickly. The servers are knowledgeable and impeccable when it comes to their table service. The place was very busy though I appreciate that they still provide wonderful customer service that makes everyone feel special. My server noticed the table next to me had a shy girl trying to order. She wouldnt speak up and wasnt sure what she wanted. The server coaxed her to find out what she liked and made an order just for her. My server also recognized people from another table and greeted them without missing a beat at her other tables.

5 /5 Estrellita Correa: This is the first time coming here to eat but no complaints really. It was a Tuesday morning at it was super busy. While we didn’t have to wait for a table, every single one was full. I had a large party so 2 waitresses had to come and take orders but they were happy to do so. Very nice people and I would say above average breakfast food. I would come again to try other things on their menu.
