Nicole Evans We used this private glassed in room for a simple anniversary party. Manager Scott was very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this location for small gatherings in the future. Jvill is limited, but greatful for delish catering trays and clean space for small events.

SimplePTT USA Walking in, I was greeted and seated. The table and booth was clean and sanitary. The young gentleman quickly brought over warm and fresh tortilla chips and plenty of salsa in a tall pouring container. I was asked what I’d like to drink within about 2-3 mins which I ordered a raspberry margarita on the rocks. A few min later the young lady asked if I was ready to order, which I was. I ordered the Mixed fajitas plate for one. In less than 5 mins my food came out sizzling on the iron skillet with a full plate of add-ons and 3 warm and fresh tortillas. There was plenty of meat and veggies cooked flawlessly and the pico was amazing. I made myself 3 stuffed tortillas and that only used 1/2 of my course. After I ate those, I used the remaining chips and mixed everything together and made plenty of scoops. This mean was for one by menu terms, but it could easily feed 2 people for lunch just by getting 3 extra flour tortillas. The price for everything was right about the $32 mark, which if you were there for 2 people this would be a great lunch for two. The margarita I ordered was a mini pitcher. You get all the chips you can eat also and salsa. My only advice is if you’re going as a group, spend some time eating those chips and sipping on your drinks because once you order, that food only takes a few mins to bring out. For a small town dine in, I give this 4.5 stars out of 5. Truly authentic tasting and family friendly environment for all with plenty of seating.

Jim Manley Had a really nice lunch with family at the Lodge. Big menu with lots of options for food and drinks. The venue is really nice and has a great atmosphere. Staff are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our food and it was a nice change having different food options. I had the liver dumpling soup and hunter schnitzel. All very good and I recommended getting the rolls with your dinner.

Danielle Wright Happy to have found this place. Its been a long time since I have had such a flavorful and satisfying meal from a pub style restaurant. Fried chicken was on special. The chicken had so much flavor. It tasted like grandmas southern fried with perfectly crispy skin and juicy meat without being too greasy. The white gravy was also delicious. I usually dislike white gravy but that was my only choice for the potatoes. I would absolutely eat it again. Our waitress was very friendly, personable, and attentive. I hope we get her again when we go back. The restaurant was clean and had an inviting atmosphere. For desert, I recommend the caramel apple pie! The brown butter cake was also good but the pie was better. 10/5 Looking forward to going back!

Bill Powell Cute place !! Came recommended while working in town. Very quaint and gives vibes of times long gone [think 50s diner] I ordered to go due to meetings and picked up.the order without issue Loaded footlong [I got to pick the different options] were excellent!! The fries were a little cold so hopefully next time I can update saying its a one odd Lastly I went with an Avalance [mixing all kinds of different candy in a really thick milkshake]. I had a small and its plenty!! Ill come back and maybe even eat in to catch the ambiance.

El Zarape Authentic Mexican Cuisine - Wheaton

Kevin Isabelle Went there for dinner on a Monday evening recently. It has been probably 13-14 years since the last time we ate here. It has an impressive length of time at this location. Many years ago I thought they would expand or find a larger space, but surprisingly they have not. Interestingly they charge $3 for the standard basket of chips and salsa. I am used to those being no extra charge at similar Mexican restaurants (I am sure the cost is built into the entree and drink prices). However at El Zarape you will pay for them, and the prices of the entrees and drinks is pretty much in line with similar restaurants if not slightly higher. So in general you will pay more for a meal here. We ordered one coke, a beer, 2 dinners, and a basket of chips and it was about $55. The dinners were good and tasted fresh. Service was great, but the restaurant was for the most part empty. I think only one other table was occupied. I drive right by the restaurant at least 4 times a week and I know it is popular and crowded on the traditional eat out nights like Fridays and Saturdays. Overall it is a nice place for dinner.
