Log Cabin Steakhouse - (Near Galena, IL)

5 /5 Jen B: This is a must-try place. We happened in on a night they had a prime rib special and it was melt in your mouth tender and well seasoned. It was served with asparagus that was cooked perfectly. Also recommend the New York strip, the Greek fries, and the house vinaigrette. Our server was great, friendly, attentive but not annoying. And the old world supperclub vibe is great. We would definitely go back.

5 /5 Melissa Frenzel: Amazing food in a cozy atmosphere with top notch service. Dont skip the flaming saganaki appetizer! I ordered the Greek chicken and it was wonderful. Large portion, baked potato and salad. Bring your appetite. All the steaks and fish looked great as well. Highly recommend if you looking for a memorable dining experience while visiting Galena.

5 /5 Jude Einoder: This place is old school and great! Saganaki is great, not awesome. Steaks are awesome. My daughter loved the filet and my wife loved the Grecian style filet! My prime rib was awesome, but I would get a filet or bone in ribeye next time.

3 /5 jerry st. marie: My Wife and I had a drink at the bar and the bartenders were excellent. Atmosphere was amazing. Our Server was not very attentive. We had to wave her over to get our bill. She didn’t ask if we needed another drink while our wine glasses were empty. We left her a smaller tip for poor service. My wives chicken breast was a bit over done but the thigh was fine. My steak was very good. Most likely won’t return

5 /5 Dan Schomer: Ill start by saying the Log Cabin is one of our favorite restaurants. We are lucky enough to have a house thats close by, so we eat there several times per year and without disappointment. Yes, its busy, yes its a bit pricey and yes it can be hard to get in on a weekend evening...but good things are usually worth the wait and price. Food and Service come at a price, and if both are of quality, Im always happy to pay. At the Log Cabin, begin with enjoying a perfectly crafted cocktail in the bar with bright & live piano music as your soundtrack for the evening, while you wait to be seated. This is a steakhouse with all the character of yesteryear, dimly lit, woody, and decorated with memorabilia and photos commemorating a time when going out for dinner was an event and experience. The aroma of flavors fill the restaurant and start to make your mouth water, especially when the flaming saganaki is extingushed...be prepared for your stomach to start doing cartwheels...and when asked, always say, "Yes, Ill have it Greek Style"! We have always had EXCELLENT and attentive service from the experienced wait staff, these folks are part of the charm and culture of this establishment...a genuine professional, and knowledgeable staff. Sadly, we recently had an experience that wasnt exactly great. No need to go into too much detail, but I assume our waiter was new and may have been having a bad day or maybe a little over-whelmed, (idk), but it really reflected on our experience. Anyway, whatever the reason, the management recognized the mishaps immediately, and rescued the moment. I am in the people business and obsessed with good customer service and the I felt compelled to share our experience with the management team, which is a little outside my comfort zone...but they had to know. All too often you dont hear from the disgruntled customer...they show their satisfaction by never returning or smear on social media. The folks at LOG CABIN went over and above, and saved our evening by creating an experience for which we will return. Of course we will be back and yes, we will continue to recommend the Log Cabin...we love it. And in the end, money comes and goes, a reputation lasts a lifetime...I hope the Log Cabin does too.
