Katherine -Trott- Hall I was sick so I ordered breakfast on the app for my husband to pick up. Great app, so user friendly! The food was really good! Yes, I had to add salt and pepper but that was not considered bland as others call it, Im sure that is making sure customers who cant have those items are safe. Besides, how hard is it to add your own salt and pepper? Biscuits were amazing! (Complement straight from my husband!) Gravy is my pet peeve and it was delish! Bacon and chopped steak cooked just the way we ordered and no rubber eggs!! Yall are amazing! We didnt eat inside but husband said staff was friendly and atmosphere homey. Prices were awesome for the generous servings. Well be going back. Eager to try some dinner! Thank you for bringing an amazing and affordable home cook restaurant to Carterville!

Matt Ellinger There is not ONE thing to complain about in any regard to South Side! I have been going to eat here since I was a teenager in 2016, and due to its warm, cozy atmosphere its made me some core-memories in the winter-time year after year! I hope the workers there get to see this review and know its the long-haired kid theyve watched grow up for years; youre my absolute favorite shop to support in town, next to Pensees! :)

karina k The wings are the best ever. $29 wings for $24, They are big and meaty and the sauces are amazing and they are a great deal. Sauces I love … mango pineapple and honey mustard are my 2 favorites. The garlic Parmesan sauce is really good as well as the home BBQ. The grilled cheese is $4.50 as a side and the spaghetti is $6 as a side but not enough for pasta but he sauce is good (please have a vegetarian and non meat sauce option). The side salad $3.50 was reasonable with lettuce and 1 cherry tomato and 2 carrot pieces and a few slivers of onion and 1 sliver of green pepper. The kids meal is $6.95 for an applesauce a drink and a corn dog and fries or a diff combination. Great deal and great food. I would come here all the time.

Tony Piraino We had a group of around 30 show up for the Bears vs Packers playoff game on 1/10/2026. The staff was very accommodating and the food, service, and atmosphere was perfect for it. Loved watching on their big screen!

Stephanie 4/30/24 @8 pm - I ordered 20 chicken tenders, two small fries, and one chocolate shake via drive-thru $33+. The cashier was nice. Short wait for fresh, hot, crispy tenders and fries. Great experience with napkins, sauces, and service with a smile.
