McDonald - (Near Mt Vernon, IL)

Pete Pearson Best restaurant I have been at and Im in my mid. 60s, best quality food from start of soup to sandwich... and then the dessert wanna thank Eric, the owner and his family for the wonderful restaurant they have built-in this community. I know, and I believe his mother owns one in DeWitt, Iowa. Staff, Sarah and Santana, outstanding servers! great customer service! Also, mother-in-law washes dishes and family works the business also. This makes it an incredible place. Ill be honest. I was going to go over to Fat Boys across the street to get a burger. I know their burgers are the best in town but there are a lot of best burger places and will go in soon there. Again, I want to thank this place for the freshness and quality of not processed food and home grown products cant thank you enough to this place. Dont be get me wrong. Ill try Fat Boys sometime too! I saw a few Older people, my age really enjoying themselves with a burger. But do not want to take away from this place, hopefully theyll come over across the street and share their time in this fabulous spot. Thank you again, all! WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!

Uriel Salcido Second time I’ve came here while on the road, really good food friendly service . 10/10 on the food went with the quessabirraa and shrimp cocktail was delicious . Was recommend the xango desert 10/10 super good will be coming back again

donnjke Stopped in for breakfast and was not disappointed. The eggs were cooked perfectly over easy, the home-fried potatoes had that golden crisp edge, and the corned beef hash was hearty and full of flavor — not greasy like you get at some places. The toast was warm and buttered just right, and the coffee kept coming, hot and strong. Service was friendly and fast, and the place has that cozy, old-school diner vibe where everyone seems to know each other. Great spot for both breakfast and lunch — simple, satisfying, and affordable. Definitely coming back.

angeljudkins Finally tried 1929 Pizza & Wine - hands down the best pizza weve had since moving to Illinois last year. We ordered the bread and butter board - the butter is made in house, Garlic and Herb butter, salted butter and a fig butter that was amazing, especially while drinking wine. We also got two pizzas - the pepperoni and the special - the best way it was explained was it was like dipping a sandwich into pea soup - but it was so much better. Matt waited on us, and instantly we felt like we belonged and were long time friends. Cant wait to go back - I can see us there every week!

Joe You get so much food here and the price is outstanding. Its nice to have a good hibachi truck. The only downfall is the location just because its far from me, but thats no reason to downgrade the rating. They give you a little beeper to know when your food is ready so you dont have to stand outside. There is no seating area though, so plan to grab and go. Also, if you have food allergies stay away because they have a disclaimer on their menu that they are not responsible for food allergies.

Mary Xxxx This buffet changed ownership in 2025, the new operation team is much nicer. Came here for sushi, the sushi chef saw we love sushi, he made us some special course! I couldn’t find these anywhere else!
