McHughs - (Near Mattoon, IL)

5 /5 Bill Sturma: We stopped in for lunch while working in Mattoon last week. We ended up eating there 3 out of 5 days. Its was one of the best burgers Ive had from a fast food type restaurant. We had a group of 3 and managed to order both 1/4lb burger combos and the 1/2lb burger combos including the ones with bacon. The portions were more than expected and it was difficult to finish the burgers and large volume of fresh made fries. The fries are medium sized and remind me of what McDs fries used to be before they became the soggy mess they are now. If youre looking for a great, thick, and juicy burger with a lot of fries this is your place. 100% recommend and will return for sure. We ate outside the first day and then in the truck the 2nd and 3rd. We talked with another couple who were having the fish sandwich and a huge salad and they were also please with their meals and the great value for the money.

2 /5 Joseph Poorman: Got shorted a 2/$10 on my order. My fault, I asked, but I didnt double check. I was in a hurry. Never had an issue before. Food was as expected, pretty darn good! Fries are some of the best you can get, and always a generous portion. The burgers were dressed accurately and delicious. Of course, the meal I did not receive would have also been delicious. Anywho. Gotta double check!
