Potrillos Mexican Grill - Carlinville

Rating: 4.7 /5
Penny Black My first visit. The Quesadilla Grande was excellent. Although extremely busy due to Christmas Market weekend, the great drinks tied us over fine till the tasty Mexican fare arrived. We’ll definitely be back. Especially because they’re right across the street from one of my favorite Route 66 motels, the CarlinVilla.

Madison Street Food Hall - Kinmundy

Bluegrass Palms & Design Didn’t feel like cooking while camping near Forbes Lake, so we stopped here — and I’m glad we did! The food was amazing. We had the meatball and the Philly, both were excellent. The owner was super friendly and helped answer all our questions. We even played a little foosball while waiting for our food. Other menu items looked great too, so we’ll definitely be back. It’s in a cool little town where everyone was really friendly. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area or driving along I-57!

Logan Lanes - Lincoln

Rating: 4.5 /5
Kevin Jones Nice small-town bowling alley, with a handful of video games and a couple pool tables. Pool tables were decent and, amazingly, only 50¢ a rack. Lanes were good and the atmosphere was great. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Bar has a reasonable selection of wares and was priced right. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

Los Dos Gallos Mexican Bar and Grill - Anna

Laura Garcia If youre craving authentic birria, this mom-and-pop spot is the place to be. The birria here is hands-down the best in the area; rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The portions are generous for the price, and you won’t leave hungry. If you’re into margaritas, they’ve got a great selection, including a flight of different flavors for those who want to mix it up. For something heartier, try the Jalisco Special, it comes with fajita, chicken, and grilled shrimp served with plenty of food to take home. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, with enough space for any group size, whether its a casual dinner or a small celebration. If you’re in the area, definitely worth a stop!
