5 /5 Dave B: Nostalgic bar that is a perfect place to sit and have a few drinks. Didn’t eat but apparently they are making a serious effort at having a decent selection of food. Diverse crowd and you will feel welcome no matter who you are. Glad we stopped by except for the loudmouth Gen Z crowd that arrived who was incapable of complete a sentence without dropping the F bomb. But that’s the world we live in…. Owners seem to have a good grip on what they need to do to succeed and they also have great taste in music. We wish them well and we are destined to return on a weekday.

5 /5 Dain Slatton: Everyone I bring here agrees its got the best burger in the area. They offer some truly great menu burgers, but also some weekly specials with all the creativity of youd see in an episode of Bobs Burgers, and just as enjoyable to consume. They can be wild, but Ive never had anything that wasnt amazing in the couple years Ive been a patron. Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, welcoming to all types, with music that never fails to get my foot tapping. Burgers are around 10-11 bucks after taxes currently, beers are very cheap, and they now even have fries, though i usually still go for their subtle yet delicious potato salad! I always order for pickup, and everything is always ready quick. Highly recommend you try this place out. One bite of their burgers will improve your outlook on life. PS: Last I checked, this place only takes cash, but they have a little ATM inside.

5 /5 Anna: This is my favorite bar in Carbondale. It has a perfect, not depressing bar atmosphere. Many great performances happen there, of local and touring bands. I dont very like that they accept only cash, but oh well. They serve food, usually till 8 pm, or something. There are options for vegetarians, menu is changing from time to time. (For my loaded potatoes I had to ask to skip chili because it was not vegetarian) The point is, its a classic American kitchen which I dont appreciate because its heavy sandwiches, burgers, gravies, biscuits, potatoes - I am not a fan, but its well cooked at least.
