Rio Grande - (Near Chester, IL)

Hailey Payette I’ve been here a few times now and every visit has been amazing. This is a perfect place for celebrations, a girls night out, or to just enjoy great food. The Pork Belly and Taquitos are my favorite appetizers, and the Golden 24k Salad with shrimp is perfect. I have also come for brunch a few times and tried the Menudo (perfect for this winter time) and the 24k Pancakes. The portion sizes reflect the price, I can often take my leftovers home for a second meal. This is a wonderful addition to Lake County, it saves us a trip to Chicago but still brings the same big energy and entertainment you would find there. It is definitely worth a try, even if it’s just to split appetizers and have a pretty drink. :)

Yeisi Montilla I absolutely loved my experience at Jessie’s Diner and I 100% recommend it! The food was delicious and tasted truly homemade, the service was incredibly fast, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The owners are so kind and make you feel right at home, and the waitstaff was professional, friendly, and attentive from start to finish. You can really tell they care about their customers and the quality of what they serve. This place is a gem in Chicago, and I can’t wait to come back!

Shane Barnett Great place, all the tables and chairs are old all wood dining room table sets. Menu is nice, not overly complicated. Had the chicken fried steak l(it was kinda small, but really good) entree, comes with a baked potato, salad bar(which has a ton of extras, pepper rings, pepperoni, cheeses, dressings, a couple pasta salads, pudding and oreo fluff. Service was excellent,even for being slow with only a few diners at the place Ill definitely have to go back.

Barbie Hargett This place was so good! Food was great and service was amazing. Melissa W. Was a fantastic server. Very pleasant and on top of everything. You could tell she new how to give great customer service. The new owners have made this a wonderful place to get a home cooked meal. We will definitely be back.
