Big Bite - Rockford

Leroy Brown Hidden gem of Rockfords south side. Fast service, excellent cleanliness, classic Midwestern City street food. Reminds me of old school hot dog and chicken places around the Chicago area, Id say even better than most of them. The chicken tenders are better and larger than Canes. They also have gyros, burgers, Chicago hot dogs, Philly cheesesteak, fried snacks, rice bowls with meat, gluten-free options. The only downside is that they dont have a place to sit while you wait for your order, its inside of a crappy little gas station. But if theyre getting cheap rent there, God bless them because I dont want them to ever go out of business, I want to keep coming back for years to come. Definitely take advantage of them if youre around 11th Street. They do take orders by phone for pickup.

Hoghead69 Fun place. Lots to do. I got the Ruben and Im pretty sure it was the best Ruben Ive ever ate. The Bloody Mary was bland compared to other places Ive had them so Ill just get something different next time. Will definitely go back to try other menu items.

Anna Jean The food is made with love and is healthy and tasty. The atmosphere is also quite pleasant and inviting. I like that you can order a half portion, too. You wont be disappointed if you visit and try the food, and if you can purchase your meal, the funds will be used to help the community. It really is a win-win experience!

All That And A Touch of Soul - Joliet

Bunny Me and my cousin fell into this restaurant as we were in the Joliet area and we needed to eat. Google can pull up some good finds. The pictures of the catfish drew us in. So glad we stopped in. Beautiful atmosphere, not a large spot but large enough. We immediately noticed the deck of cards on each table, and the stack of board games on the counter. Nice to get a game of spades or Uno in while you wait for your food. Now to the food, my cousin ordered her fish fried, I got the blackened fish. They didnt disappoint. Well seasoned, and the correct portion. I got the sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes. Had I known the blackened fish came with rice, I would have not gotten the potatoes. My cousin got greenbeans and mashed potatoes. Sent the greenbeans back and got cabbage, unfortunately they were cooked too soft, but that cabbage was nice. Everything well seasoned. I live in the city but would definitely stop back by the next time Im in the Joliet area.

Katie Pruitt Tried some of their breakfast & it was delicious & reasonably priced. The blueberry lemon curd crème brûlée French toast was absolutely incredible. We both agreed it was one of the best French toast dishes we’d ever tasted. Service was great. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Jenny Robbins This is my second time eating here. I liked what I got both times. They have a huge menu and everything is cooked to order. It is a great place to take a group. Lots of big tables and variety for all tastes. My eggs Benedict and waffles were excellent. The rest of our group of 14 loved there food as well.
