Home Plate Bar & Grill - Springfield

Rating: 4.4 /5
Chad Stumph This was my first visit to Home Plate, and it did not disappoint. I had two brats with mustard, onions, and sauerkraut. They were very good, and would have been great if the onions were sauteed and the mustard spicy brown instead of yellow. Their sides include a bowl of mandarin oranges, which is a welcome change from the usual sides offered at bar & grills. I tried a blueberry lager, which was very satisfying. It was very busy during the lunch hour - a good sign - but quieted down some in the afternoon. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and made the experience very pleasant.

Barneys Korner Bar & Grill - Geneseo

Rating: 4.2 /5
David Kelley Great home cooked chicken! Nice casual atmosphere. Barneys has changed since I left the area and came back. The great food however, has not! Excellent taste to the appetizer, entre and drinks. Service was fantastic! They even allowed us to make a substitution with our meal. I highly recommend Barneys for a casual dinner and a drink! The walls are bare down to the brick and it has an industrial air unit above. Its very modern with car siding trim in the game room! They have pool tables, darts, and a shuffleboard! They even have a jukebox if you desire music. You can go eat a meal with your family or sit at the bar. The prices are reasonable and the eating areas are very well lit. It has handicapped access from the sidewalk through the game room. There is a step up to get into the bar. You wont regret coming to enjoy dinner here! Great food and reasonably priced drinks!

Porter Kitchen & Deck - Chicago

Dylan Galut My partner and I are tourists here in Chicago, and we visited around 9PM on a Saturday. It was populated but not packed and busy, and the atmosphere and interior was calm and elegant. We were able to comfortably chat and enjoy our booth without difficulty. I had the Crispy Brick Chicken which I thought was amazingly tender and delicious, complemented with potatoes and veggies. My partner had the Steak Frites, and while the fries were fantastic, the steak was just slightly undercooked but was otherwise juicy, tasty, and easy to eat. We shared the Truffle Mac & Cheese on the side and thought it was seriously good! Service was great, staff were attentive and came by to check on us often but were not intrusive and thats something we appreciated. Overall, well worth the price compared to other spots nearby, we loved it here.

Alex walker I came in here for a quick bite after some exams and the food was so good and fresh! They are a bit pricey but the dumplings and tripe were worth it! Everything was good and fresh and these were some of the best dumplings I have ever had!!

Cara Isaacs Called to head to secure a table for eight people on a Sunday morning and they were very accommodating. Service was fast and food was delicious. The bowls, my friend got looked great, I wish I would’ve gotten those myself. I got the biscuits and gravy and those were delicious too! Overall great experience.

River Port Restaurant & Lounge - Beardstown

Rating: 4.5 /5
Alex Toutant The food was great but could use a little more seasoning. I had the catfish fritters. They were great. The atmosphere was nice and there was a good view of the river. They are also not scared to try out new recipes. They just launched a sloppy joe that looks and tastes very good. recommend this place
