Lindsey Lee Never a disappoint! Great service, consistency is what keeps me coming back. And the food, always excellent! Highly recommend!! The downfall - the yelling of birthday announcements - could very easily go Without. But hey, it’s their thing. ☺️

Catrece Hurd Great Chinese food! We were from out of town and got a lot of food for great prices! We all had big portions but I thought the 11 year old wouldn’t be able to finish all of his…. He surprised us and ate almost all of his soup and noodles. On the other hand, the adults got dinner combos and each took some home for leftovers!

Mark Kukla The food was delicious, served fast and hot. We sat at the long bar and Alex was an amazing server/bartender. Super friendly staff, comfortable dining inside and they also have outdoor dining in the community tent shared with other restaurants. Parking is available in the free parking garage or street parking. Large restaurant that can accommodate large parties. Highly recommend

Shrek SFM The food was absolutely great. The chicken was juicy, the draft beer was fantastic. Our server Cassie was wonderful, she anticipated our needs. We didnt even need to ask to get a refill on water, she brought it to us. The manager Alexis would come to speak with us at times and she was a delight. Shes very light hearted and fun. She also knows salem Illinois very well and will recommend must see attractions. All in all, I highly recommend this Applebees.

Danielle We had a great experience at the James. Andrew was our server and he was phenomenal! One of our friends has celiacs disease and he made sure that evening was taken care of so she didn’t have to worry. The GF menu is huge! And honestly as someone who isn’t GF, the GF blue crab dip and bread was delicious. The crème brûlée is a must try! 10/10 would recommend coming here. The food, the vibes, the drinks, the service - all wonderful!

James G 9-20-25 Been here several times over the past couple years and each time its a great experience. The food, atmosphere, service and patrons are all great! It can get very busy at times so be prepared to spend some time waiting on your order but believe me its well worth the wait. The fact that its in an over 100 year old church is awesome in itself. Well definitely be back soon!
