Gulf Shores Restaurant & Grill - Edwardsville

Becky Blake Katie was our server on a Sunday afternoon. She was an awesome server. She was helpful when I was torn between menu items. She kept our drinks full and was super pleasant. The food was really good too! The red beans and rice, seafood lasagna, hush puppies were exceptional. The portions were just right. We will definitely tell our friends and return soon.

Honey-Jam Cafe Wheaton - Wheaton

John Skinner Service was ok, atmosphere is what youd expect from a decently updated breakfast spot. Star is the food. Been many times and anything we order from the kitchen is always great. The menu has a good variety, some creative options and a lot of classics with the right amount of side options so that most can assemble the breakfast they want. This past time, I got biscuits and gravy, two eggs over easy, with hash browns. All of it was perfect. My daughter is a chicken tender connoisseur and rates Honey Jams as her second favorite. This place can get busy, but we did not have to wait for a party of 5; the dining room is large and there are many tables, though some can be rather close together.

Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant - Vandalia

Sean Guitar Stopped in while driving across Illinois, and very glad I did. The food was reasonably priced, and the drinks moreso. The complementary chips and salsa were some of the better Ive had, and the chipotle chicken fajitas were amazing - I ate until it hurt. I also tried the cinnamon apple empanada, and it was okay - the pastry wasnt very fluffy, but still tasty.

Barrel House - Bloomington

Jack Pennoyer I went here for dinner with my friend last night and we immediately noticed how relaxed the atmosphere felt without seeming empty or too spacious. The extra room to navigate the space and plenty of lower seating was great because he utilizes a walker and requires a certain level of accessibility. The biggest standout to our dining experience other than the excellent food was our waitress, Julia. It was apparently her first day working at Barrel House and my friend and I wouldve had no idea if it hadnt come up naturally with her during conversation, she was SO good to us. We would absolutely come back again knowing that places like this clearly prioritize the customer experience and that aspect of service. Everyone else I have encountered here was awesome and polite too, but we wanted to give Julia a shoutout! Oh yeah, the chicken & chorizo soup was so good I immediately asked for another to-go!

Josh V Was here in Chicago for the Marathon. We were craving Filipino food after the race and it did not disappoint. The Kansi soup was delicious especially with the beef shank in it. The Lechon Kawalit was juicy and crunch. They also have Filipino inspired cocktails. Always glad to see a Filipino restaurant out here in Chicago that is also open late! I would definitely come back (especially for the Kansi)

Warren Morgan Really good place to eat. Highly recommend trying the Monte Cristo. Probably one of the best Ive ever had. They had reasonable prices and the waitress was awesome.
