Steven Card I dined solo on a Thursday evening, and the dining room wasn’t very busy, which meant the staff had plenty of time and attention—and the service was excellent throughout. Water was always topped off, and each course was thoughtfully presented and explained without ever feeling overbearing. The food itself was outstanding. For the price point, the tasting menu felt like an exceptional value. There were around eight courses, and the vast majority were dishes I absolutely loved. The starters in particular were the highlight of the meal and really set the tone for the evening. Desserts were also very strong. The atmosphere struck a great balance—clearly elevated, but still comfortable and approachable. Sepia delivers a refined, well-executed dining experience that feels thoughtful, generous, and well worth seeking out.

Olivia Lee The servers were so nice and helpful! Our server, Jose was so polite and even took something off the bill when he forgot it even though he did bring it. The decor was nice and food was good. Jose gave us many recommendations as well. It was a good experience.

Mohammed Ghannam From start to finish, this was an amazing dining experience! The food was absolutely incredible perfectly cooked steaks, bursting with flavor, and sides that were just as impressive. What really made the night unforgettable was our waiter, Payton. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu, Payton made sure everything was perfect without ever feeling rushed. Exceptional service paired with exceptional food, couldn’t ask for more!

Daphne L. Kinzig A friend recommended that I try this place for NYE. Decor was tastefully done. We loved all the dishes. My eye went to the cold tapas style selection. Very good - we had coconut ceviches in a half coconut half shell, nice touch; salmon crisp - great, hamachi cones; seafood platter - good & nice presentation; Cesar was excellent; hot octopus - VERY tasty; deconstructed key lime - great. Then they gave us a spiced caramel square. Definitely would go back. It was tasty! And Amber was great waitress! Highly recommend for fresh seafood in the Midwest!

Kristin Schroeder We went for our wedding anniversary and commented that in our reservation. The staff wished us a happy anniversary, which meant a lot, as we appreciated the attention to detail. The crab cakes were delicious. Cocktails were and smooth, the steaks were delicious. I had a stuffed mushroom with my steak special and it was fantastic! The service was great and timely. We would definitely recommend!

Annie Fisher This evening my dad and I came to this restaurant for a fancy night out for UIUC dads weekend. We were met by our server Kevin who was inviting and attentive. He did a great job explaining the menu and providing us with some great recommendations. We had a mixture of hot and cold dishes. The Korean BBQ wings were so good I did not have a chance to photograph them before they were gone. The sushi is up to par with any great metropolitan area. There is a good combination of comfort food and something spicy and exotic for everyone. My dad can attest to the fact that the wines were hand picked and well suited for the cuisine. Lastly, the menu is broad but no too big, and is focused on freshness and quality. Even the desserts were surprisingly fresh and light, a perfect ending to a perfect meal (pistachio sponge cake and mascarpone cheesecake). Highly recommend!
