The Pizza Man - (Near Effingham, IL)

4 /5 Tom Z: First, this review is written by someone that lives in a city that has a family owned pizza place on nearly every couple of blocks of a main street. The pizza was good. I really liked the sauce, the flavor was spot on. The sausage had a very good flavor, though there was a limited amount of sausage on the pizza. There was a little too much cheese for my taste. Where the pizza dropped off was the crust. I think it has potential, but I dont get the foil on the bottom of the box, I think it holds the moisture against the bottom of the crust. I also had garlic bread and it was pretty good. The people there were super friendly and had the order done very quickly. I love the the quality of the customer service.

5 /5 Michelle: This place is amazing!!! It was very busy but the staff remained friendly and worked diligently on each order. Very organized. We dont have anything like this in my home town unfortunately. The Italian sub was a bit salty but thick with meats. We drove over an hour to try this place....worth it.

4 /5 Sharon W: Im 52 & I absolutely LOVED going here my whole life! I moved away in 2010 and just recently ate here for the first time in many years. I was super disappointed that they put sheetrock over 2 of the brick walls and took away the red lights above the tables and installed puck lights on the ceiling instead. They also took out the pinball machine. I really missed the old Pizza Man that I grew up with. It was a piece of history that never shouldve been updated. The pizza still tasted the same, though, which was excellent!

4 /5 Nancy Durbin: I would of gave a 5 stars food is delicious. The problem is I had was the salad bar. Last time I was here 4 boys reached over to the shoestring potatoes and was eating with their fingers out of the container over and over and this time 2 girls was doing the same with sunflower seeds. I think this is very unsanitary . It makes me sick enough to not want to go back. If it was me I would post a sign and put sunflower seeds in a pour container . Maybe turn salad bar opposite way. Kids are doing this and parents arent even paying attention because they are ordering and paying.
