Wallys Drive-In - (Near Breese, IL)

5 /5 Cindy McGrew: I love this place!!!I grew up near here. But had traveled to Breese from Edwardsville to pick up some glasses from Clarkson. Placed my order, and apparently you pay when picking up. Found out at the window that they only take cash. They did tell me an ATM was across the street. I never use an ATM and don’t have a pin number So, I counted up all the change in my car and I had six dollars and some change I asked, how much would it be to take off one of the hamburgers and a fry so they said just a minute and came back to The window and saidhow much do you have? It was 12 something and I had six dollars and some change. They said that’s fine. Just go ahead. Very nice people !!! So, next time I come to breese, I will be giving them back their six dollars I owe, and eating here again because the hamburgers are fabulous. Also love the outdoor seating and atmosphe. Takes me back to a simpler time. Thank you you, Wally’s! See ya next time. You must try this place!!

5 /5 Janice Paulsmeyer: The food is always top notch at Wallys. The best hamburgers with crispy edges. Melted cheese sticking to the wrapper ‼️‼️ The staff is quick to take orders and the food is out as soon as its ready. It is always hot. Not much at Mr sitting outside at picnic tables. Thats not why we go to Wallys. I go to Ollies for the food!! I brought a quart of soft serve ice cream home too, brings back good memories

4 /5 Steven Peyton: This place is just a simple "old-school" burger shack. You walk up to the window, order a cheeseburger, crinkle cut fries, and a shake, and you eat it outside on a picnic table -- good stuff!

5 /5 Wally Greer: Excellent straight-up burger stand. Both the triple cheeseburger and fish sandwiches were hot, fresh, and well done. Cook-to-order took less than ten minutes. The drink cup is a "medium", not large. Doesnt last long. Safety Tip: US 50 can be dangerous for the unfamiliar. Do not leave Breese later than 1500/3 PM on a Sunday. The people trying to escape Lake Carlyle, and make it across the bridge show no mercy.
