Cafe Petra - (Near St Francisville, LA)

Mandie Trahan My husband and I went on a Friday night to listen to John Guidroz play outside on the terrace. We arrived and found a table. We were greeted and given drink menus and menu. I ordered a watermelon drink that was wonderful. - we ordered Fried Pepper jack bites for an appetizer. It came with a blueberry pepper jelly or dipping sauce. For our meals we ordered the spicy pizza added shrimp, a custom burger, and the seafood lasagna. The seafood lasagna was on the weekly special for under $12.00. Everything was great. The size of the pizza and lasagna were priced great for the size. This was our first time there to eat, we will definitely be back to eat..

Teach H. They have a great lamb shank with rice which is the secret blessing on the menu. The owner is very friendly and detailed with his dishes. Have order the lamb a total of 3 times and each time it has been simply amazing. Thank you 3 times over!!!

Michael Mladenka Excellent food, very fresh ingredients. We had the Shrimp pasta and the bacon jam burger. I customized the pasta w extra shrimp and bacon and it was very, very good. We had the empanadas as an app and the bread pudding for dessert. Great service, owner came to the table to check on us, really enjoyed our visit. We will definitely come back.

lexhowdie ! Ive been here several times and absolutely love it. The Downtown is my favorite pizza and never misses! The salads are delicious, but Id recommend getting dressing on the side for more control. Service is always helpful and friendly, even when busy. The acoustics are not great and it can be very noisy inside, but the outside patio is excellent for a more relaxing evening. Im not much of a drinker, but I love getting to try the beer samples. And their Blackberry Bramble cocktail is a standout. Sooo refreshing

Nathan Palencia It was an Enchanting atmosphere. The disarming nature of this historic location inspires an elegant setting unbeknownst to those who have not encountered this spartan opulence before. Believe me I was taken aback to a former life where history meets a delicious twist in the Covington scene, now entering into the modern age of gastronomy, by taking a step back and feeding your ego, as well as your appetite. Please go and explore this establishment so now enmeshed within its culture, as I would not even attempt to spoil your experience at Lola. I can promise you, I will see you again.

Emilly Chandler This was the neatest place!! The atmosphere was super neat and i really enjoyed the decor. It feels like a coffee shop in the movies but with Louisiana taste. Very classy. My husband is one of those "mans man" and is hard to please but he was blown away here. He has raved about it. Now the food. The food we got was an entire experience of itself. The vanilla bean waffles...WOW!! Ive never had something even close to a waffle just blow me away. My husband ate quite a bit of my plate because it was so good and that was ok because the waffle was huge. Everything on his plate was so good and cooked just perfectly. My only thing I can say otherwise is that im not a super fan of the location. It absolutely 100% needs to be in the geographical location it is in but it just feels odd going to that particular shopping center for what is essentially the best coffee and waffle bar in this whole area. I guess you could say it gives epitome of "diamond in the rough" lol
