Crawfish Hole - (Near Natchitoches, LA)

Sixi Ma The chargrilled oysters were wonderfully seasoned, with rich butter, high heat, and garlic softened to a perfect melt. Half a dozen disappeared in seconds. The lobster pasta was also beautifully done. The noodles were cooked to a soft, comforting texture and blended with a savory sauce that lingered on the tongue. The portion was generous. The alligator taco was more average. Although many people recommend it, the alligator meat had a spongy, chicken-like texture that was not very appealing. The dessert, however, was astonishing. It felt like something meant for four people. Even with two of us working on it for ten minutes, the peak remained untouched. Beneath a mountain of whipped cream were cold scoops of ice cream and a warm brownie, a combination that kept the textures changing with every bite. A lovely experience overall.

Wes Crider Ordered 2lb of smoked sliced turkey for Thanksgiving. Bravo!! Delicious. Staff were attentive and helpful. The turkey was outstanding, delicious. We should have bought more. Perfect smoking.

Lisa Peterson We stayed at the Copper Vine Inn for our anniversary this year and had an amazing experience! From being offered a drink and a spot to relax when we checked in prior to getting our keys, to the delicious complimentary breakfast on the upstairs patio in the morning before we checked out, our entire stay was wonderful. The room was very clean, extremely well put together, and had the most luxurious bathroom we’ve ever had the fortune of experiencing at a hotel. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs, and it was phenomenal as always. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and the grits were savory and perfectly paired with the salty collards. The chicken sandwich was also delicious. Nice and light, but filling. The location is also amazing; easy to get to, easy parking, and a perfect spot to stay if you’re in town for a game or concert. The innkeepers and staff were all extremely kind and genuinely interested in how our stay was going and making it better any way they could. We can’t recommend the Copper Vine Inn enough for a comfortable and relaxing stay in the city!

Madeleine Dutel Went for the happy hour and was not disappointed! Tapas were fresh and flavorful, sangria was delicious, plus a great atmosphere. And our server Isabelle was attentive and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back

Matt Herold The Parrillada Guadalajara is a massive delicious feast! Best quail I’ve had in a long time. Wish they had some better water is my only complaint. The refried beans have so much flavor. New travel stop found!

Dakota Starr Stopped for lunch while in town and was really surprised by this place. Service was great. Never had to ask for a refill on our drinks. All of our food was hot and delicious. Got the fried green tomato and crab cake appetizer, shrimp and grits, oyster Orleans, and a dessert. The manager Amber was also fantastic. She would often pass and ask how everything was and if she could get anything for us while our waitress was busy. Very attentive and caring. Everything was great! We will definitely be back!
