My go to is a classic hamburger with fries or fresh cooked livers. Very clean establishment with a super friendly staff ready to help you with the menu as there is a variety of things to choose from.

5 /5 Niccqueta Varmall: This was my first time visiting Darrell’s Restaurant in Alexandria, and the experience was outstanding from the moment I walked in. I was greeted by an employee who truly set the tone—warm, welcoming, and excited to share what makes Darrell’s special. She took the time to give me a full breakdown of the menu, and even offered me a complimentary piece of their chicken to try. Such a thoughtful touch. I decided on the cheeseburger with the rice dressing, and it was absolutely delicious—seasoned well, flavorful, and made with care. The hospitality paired with the quality of the food made this visit memorable. I will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

5 /5 Mdchael Welch: This place was a breath of fresh air. Walking in it was very very clean, everyone greeted us as we walked in, was very polite and well mannered. Service was crazy fast, the food was delicious and I couldn’t be happier to finally walk into a restaurant, encounter polite inviting folks and eating food that did not disappoint. This is something that has been lacking lately and I was close to throwing in the towel with eating in town, but this place made my day. The Burger was perfect, the Chicken was very crunchy, juicy and delicious, yes it could have had a little more seasoning but the quality of the chicken compensated very well, the dirty rice was perfect, perfect, perfect. I don’t care what you go here to order, get a side of dirty rice and try it, you wont be disappointed. The onion rings were awesome and the fries were simple but crunchy and fresh. Check this place out if you’re looking for something new and fairly priced.

5 /5 Marcus Church: My wife and I used to go to Jennings for these subs from Pineville (2 hours away) just to taste this delicate deliciousness. Since theyve closed that one down we had to choose to go to lake charles for our anniversary weekend and it didnt disappoint! Just as good but a bit further of a drive. We got the shrimp poboy with extra butter and the Darrells slammer i think it was called and it was all to much to handle with proportions and flavor! Cant wait to go back! PS they sell the butter to bring home!!!! Highly recommended!!!

3 /5 Howard C: Darrell is a fast food restaurant primary food is chicken but have other foods. We ordered their shrimp but brought us chicken Stripes sent it back. Finally got our shrimp and was not enough for one person. More like a childs plate with fries and hush puppies. Restrooms are not handicap friendly at all. Very small. Parking also was a problem handicap space was taken and had a Very difficult time get in building with wheelchair and walker. Dinning room is also limited in space.
