2 /5 University of Louisiana Alumna: 5/15/21 I came here for the first time. My date and I had reservations for 7 P.M. When we got to the hostess, she informed us that there were no tables available, yet. (Okay, no big deal.)
When we were asked to be seated at the ENORMOUS table, to be seated side-by-side, when we were not walk-ins seemed to be bit odd of an offer; however, maybe we would have preferred it...so it is fine that she asked. Not everyone can internalize reseravtions made would suggest that the people wanted an intimate seating area at their own table.
Once we were seated in an area apart from the wide-opened portion of the restaurant, we were able to enjoy a more quiet and reserved spot for our repast.
Our waiter started out fine, but he neglected us hugely later on in the dining: I had already cued him that I would need more tea (they do not have tall glasses...only gobblets).
At the end of our meal, he decided to bring a pitcher of tea for us.
The food that I ate: the gumbo and pumpkin bisque was tasty. None of these items I would return for, though.
My dates shrimp po-boy was nothing spectacular for that $$$$. There was too much dijon or creole mustard used.
The lasagna was not that good, either.
It IS a VERY BEAUTIFUL RESTAURANT, but it is not worth the hype.
One and DONE!
