Duck Blind - (Near Bastrop, LA)

Atavius Parker Man! lemme tell you folks. On my visit we tried many items on the menu. Shrimp and grits, Oreo waffle, hasbrowns, pancakes eggs and beignets. All the food was savory and full a flavor perfectly cooked. I will be back on my next visit to Nola.

Andy Sant First time eating here, was given a sample of the deboned chicken to try. It was great. Ordered the deboned chicken and sausage plate with BBQ beans and cole slaw. Good size portions of food and all of it was excellent. I live in Lafayette, LA so I’m skeptical of Cajun Food in north LA. This was good, this restaurant would do well in Lafayette.

Tammy Porte I called in an order, the grilled pork steamed buns and grilled pork banh mi, to go. The order was ready quickly. The steamed buns blew me away! It was my first time having steamed buns. I will be getting them regularly. The banh mi was great also. Both of them the pickled vegetables were so fresh. The grilled pork had that perfect grilled flavor you want. The flavors of each ingredient just explodes in your mouth, you taste each one individually at first then when they all combine, wow. The bread was so soft with a nice light slight crisp crust. The buns were so light, soft and fluffy. I had their beef broth a few weeks back when on a liquid diet for a day and it too has amazing in flavor. The service was great. The employees were so nice. Im definitely ordering some pho this coming week.

Gene Foster Stopped in after playing golf with my wife and son. Wasnt sure what to expect when we walked in since the place was quite and not very many customers, but to be fair it was around 2pm, not really lunch time. We had Kennys burger special, Chicken tenders and Fried Catfish dinner. I assume the burgers were great because son devoured them all off in no time flat and we never even got to ask him. Catfish was excellent. Way better than any pIace I have eaten at recently. When I got home, I tried some of the leftover chicken tenders and the seasoning was amazing. All the sides, fries, okra and onion rings were hot and crispy. Have to say, my family was pleasantly surprised. All the food was hot and fresh and seasoned spot on, only thing I didnt love was the hush puppies, but I like mine spicy not sweet. Wish we had taken photos, but I can tell you the online photos and Facebook photos are true to life of how good our plates looked. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we were greeted by everyone that walked by. We will definitely be back next time we are in town and I highly recommend this place to anyone that has never been, give them a try, you will be pleased. Thank you Kennys place.
