1 /5 Sam: I was really excited to try Lasyone’s Kitchen, especially the meat pies, but the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.
First, I waited about 15 minutes just to be seated, only to be placed at a tiny table shoved into a corner. To access the bathroom, you have to stand in a dirty storage area before entering an even dirtier restroom. There’s only one bathroom shared by all genders, which wouldn’t be an issue if it were actually clean.
Most of the soft drinks were out of stock, the only option available was canned Dr Pepper. The silverware was visibly dirty and clearly not properly cleaned.
When the food finally arrived, it was shockingly unseasoned. Frozen meat pies I’ve had elsewhere were more flavorful and far more edible than these. At $8 for a single meat pie, that’s unacceptable. Both the meat pie and the dirty Cajun rice were served room temperature to cold.
The only redeemable part of the meal was the fries they were at least warm but they weren’t salted at all and were obviously prefrozen.
Overall, this place did not live up to its reputation, and I left feeling like I wasted my time and money.
