Rhiannon Cooper The burgers were amazing! All of it was super fresh, hand made burger patties were just the right size. The seafood burger, also hand made, was perfect. Boudin balls were lightly spiced and super fresh. The people are awesome, sweet local folk. We were just passing through, aimed for a local place, and I think we succeeded! So happy.

Mark Sanders If you’re craving a classic, dialed-in burger in Denham Springs, Shake 16 hits the mark. I ordered a hamburger and a side of Shake Fries, and both were genuinely excellent. Food: The hamburger is everything you want from a no-nonsense burger: a well-seasoned patty with a good sear, melty cheese, crisp lettuce, and a soft bun that actually holds up. The balance is spot-on—savory, a little smoky, and not weighed down with sauce. The Shake Fries deserve their own shout-out. They’re hot, crispy, and generously seasoned—think bold, salty-savory with a touch of spice that keeps you nibbling long after you’re “done.” Portions are generous. Service & Atmosphere: Service is friendly and efficient. Food came out hot and fresh without a long wait. The vibe is casual and clean—easy for a quick lunch, weeknight dinner, or a relaxed bite with friends or kids. Value: Prices are fair for the quality and portion size. You can get full without breaking the bank, and the fries are big enough to share. What to know before you go: • Customization: Ask for add-ons like bacon or grilled onions; they elevate the burger without overpowering it. • Fries tip: If you like extra crunch, request the Shake Fries “extra crispy.” • Heat levels: The seasoning on the fries is flavorful; if you’re spice-sensitive, ask for light seasoning or sauce on the side. • Timing: It can get busy around dinner; earlier or later visits mean faster seating and pickup. Bottom line: Shake 16 nails the basics—and that’s a compliment. Great burger, standout fries, quick service, and solid value. I’ll be back for the Shake Fries alone. Highly recommended.

Ciara Carter A Total vibe!!!! Arrived on a Thursday and didn’t know it was happy hour all day, yesss all day. We had a few drinks and the shrimp amd crawfish appetizer dip was superb. Very flavorful. Didn’t quite like the voodoo rolls, too Much cream cheese but overall the drinks amd ambiance will definitely have me returning. Thanks for being so friendly also!

Sonia R. This is a self-service restaurant: you order and pay at the counter before receiving your food. All drinks are bottled, including water, so no fountain drinks. There are plenty of tables and chairs, plus a couple of booths where you can seat yourself. The space was clean, especially considering we visited just after the lunch rush. Restrooms are available. The cashier was friendly and patient with my many menu questions because it’s a bit tricky to navigate. My son joked about ordering the "chicken $0", which actually reflects the upcharge for choosing chicken as your protein. We were told the food would take 10–15 minutes, but it felt quicker than that. Whether dining in or taking out, everything is served in take-out containers. The portions are very generous for the price. We had plenty of leftovers. Just a note for moms with little ones: the food comes out piping hot, so you’ll want to let it cool a bit before serving. Overall, we had a great experience and plan to return.

A Mil Stopped by for a quick lunch. Agreed with other reviewers that the shrimp and grits were the best ever. The crab cake and hush puppies were delicious, and bread pudding was rich with a very generous portion. Liz, our server, was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and the grilled potatoes she suggested was so good. Definitely will go back to try their oysters next time.
