LongHorn Steakhouse - (Near Monroe, LA)

3 /5 Samuel Patton: We hadnt been to Longhorn since we moved to Louisiana 5 years ago and decided to try this one while I was working out of town. Service was quite slow. They were slow seating is even though we were the only ones waiting. It took forever for a waiter to come. And we were only told they didnt have bread AFTER ordering. This is something they should be telling people before seating them! Throughout the whole time we were barely looked after. When they brought a salad with blue cheese instead of ranch, I had to get up and chase someone down to fix it. I ordered the 8 Oz Sirloin with a Loaded Baked Potato and my wife ordered a couple small salads. I enjoyed my food as I always do at Longhorn but my wife thought her salads had too much dressing. I would probably go back because I usually like Longhorn, but my first trip to this location was a little lackluster.

3 /5 Debbie Avery: Longhorns is a pretty popular steak chain restaurant. There are definitely some that are better than others. Our server was super sweet but did forget several things requested - she was very young but was hustling from what seemed to be a very large group and several tables - forgivable. We split a ribeye steak dinner. The steak was cooked med rare as requested and was seasoned well - was not a high grade of steak. The salad was good-fresh. The loaded baked potato souo - forgettable/bland. Would of been better with maybe the cheese/bacon/chives/sour cream on top instead of blended in. The crispy Brussels sprouts I would go back for they were sweet and spicy. The inside has plenty of seating that large groups or solos would be comfortable. There is also a separate bar. There is plenty of parking outside. Overall staff was friendly and the place was clean. Definitely better steaks in the area but at a mid range price point it was satisfactory.

5 /5 BWJones: We came here for lunch and was seated immediately. We ordered a drink and appetizer at the same time. When the appetizer came out we then put in our entree order. Ive learned that if you put your entree order in too close to your appetizer order it all comes out at the same time. This day we had a traditional cheeseburger cook medium. It came out hot juicy and cooked to perfection. It was delicious. I was dining with my mother-in-law and we shared the cheeseburger and the fries. For the appetizer we got the spicy chicken bites which I had planned to bring the rest home to my daughter but I forgot them on the table. Bummer. With one appetizer and a cheeseburger entree and two drinks the total was about $27. Not too bad imo. We were very busy and not alot of time but wanted to sit for lunch instead of driving through somewhere. The Parmesan Crusted Chicken is a Fave, too but I love a good juicy cheeseburger once in a while.

2 /5 April Smith: Arrived shortly after 7pm on Sunday, November 16th. 3 different couples were waiting on tables at the door...no hostess in site for about 5 minutes. 3 workers walked up to the bar area and saw us standing at the door and we were never greeted. Once the hostess walked up we were told there was a 15 minute wait...ok, cool, no problem. We get to our table after 12-15 minutes waiting. Our waitress came to the table within 5 minutes and got our drink order, appetizer order and dinner order all at once. Our steak dinners arrived before we ever got our drinks or appetizer. I asked the lady that delivered our food to please cancel the appetizer since we already had our dinner. Shortly after...our appetizer showed up. My husband asked that I not say anything else and just go with it. They never apologized for bringing our drinks out late or for delivering the appetizer after the dinner or for not acknowledging that I canceled the appetizer. Our drinks stayed empty until she brought us a check. The restaurant was not busy at all and the table beside us was having issues as well with their drinks staying empty. The food was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Maybe training the staff better or hiring people that actually know how to wait tables would help. Very disappointed in the service.
