Lou & Lauras - (Near Alexandria, LA)

1 /5 Pamelyn Gagnard: I went last night really close to closing time. I ordered a cheeseburger add bacon and some curly fries. When I got home, there was no cheese or bacon on my burger. I paid over $11 for this. I took pics of it and called them today. I was informed that they would replace it with a cheeseburger but that I had to pay for the bacon and that I would have to pay for my curly fries again since I did receive them. It seems the employee forgot to charge me for the bacon. So in my brain I’m thinking….so y’all messed up MY order and I have to make a trip back to get only one part of my meal that I paid over $11 for! Doesn’t make sense to me! I’m the one that was inconvenienced. Shouldn’t you be concerned about your customer’s experience and their reviews of your restaurant?! Wonder what the original Lou & Laura would say? Maybe I’m looking at it all wrong but this is my opinion. And no, I will never order from them again! What happened to “the customer is always right “?!

2 /5 Texas Queen: Ordered 8 piece broasted chicken, shrimp poboy and fries. Chicken tasted like old, burnt oil. Poboy had only 6 pieces of shrimp although bread is chewy and good. Fries were too thinly (julienne) sliced and not salted-very bland. Would not come back

5 /5 Mr. SuperFunTime: I had a hankern for a Poboy as I passed through Louisiana. So I swung in to Lou & Lauras "Home of the Original Poboy". Well. It was accidental that I stopped there since Id actually came via my maps app to visit the Poboy shop next door. I decided, lets give Lou & Laura a shot and see what they were rocking in the form of a Shrimp Poboy. Well, it was perfectly loaded with fresh veggies, crispy fried shrimp and tasty mayo sauce on a hoagie roll. It was quite good. The young fella at the counter was quite pleasant also. Great place. Give Lou & Lauras a try.

3 /5 Kat Lowry: Not great. A friend highly recommended this place so I gave it a try; maybe the cook was having a bad day... The chicken was moist and nicely done; fries were limp, cold, OLD; the bread was "toasted"?? Dry, without a toast color or any flavor. The pecan pie was good, not too sweet with plenty of pecans. The young lady taking the orders was very pleasant and efficient. Old-timey interior was clean and pleasant. I got my order to go, so ate the chicken and pie in my motel room and tossed the rest.
