Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken -Food CA (Near New Iberia)

Shaina Davis I’m a traveling Foodie and I have been trying to make it to Sweet & Savory and finally did, which it was well worth the wait! It is a hidden gem in a back corner with great flavor! The Seafood Flatbread was loaded with tons of goodie on top and was delicious! The Shrimp and Grits were outstanding, the sauce was soooo good and the grits were buttery and cheesy! The lady was very friendly and helpful with what questions I had, I felt comfortable and welcomed! Portion sizes were on point and reasonably priced for the quality and quantity that was received! Thank you so much!! Hope to be back in the near future!

Scott Keele We were hungry for hamburgers and this place was suggested to us. The staff was super friendly. We let them know that since we had 14 people with us, they didn’t need to pull tables together is that was not available. But they were very accommodating. The burgers were great… but i was especially impressed with the Boudin egg rolls. They were awesome and I would totally suggest you try them, If you haven’t already. The only difficulty we had was that they couldn’t separate the ticket more than twice… which made it tough since nearly all of us were paying on our own. I’m not sure why that was the case… it seems to me that they could have just takes so many people to each order… just as if we were sitting at separate tables. Tough since we had people leaving the restaurant owing each other money since not very many of us had cash. But… the boudin egg rolls made up for any discomfort, for sure.

Janets world All-around it is a great place the food is good the service is great and the owners are friendly and nice always a smile and greets everybody Southern folks at their best.

Tammy Porte Today we ordered 2 classic flounder sandwiches using the Popeyes app. The order was ready in less than 10 mins. At 1st I was actually impressed as to how quickly it was ready. I opened the bag saw 2 sandwiches. The sandwiches were spicy for one. One of the sandwiches was even labeled with someone elses name on it as special order no pickles and it had pickles. So the other person experienced the same issue. I might could have let the spicy issue go if they had tasted good but it was horrible. They tasted and looked like they had been sitting in a warmer tray for a while. Very disappointed. I had been looking forward to the sandwich because other people I know in another area said they were really good. This location in Chalmette, LA needs to do a lot better.

Noland Brown Staff was very nice and attentive, food was cooked and out hot very quick. This restaurant reminds me a lot of Dave’s Hot Chicken, if your craving that style chicken, it will definitely curve that appetite for it, but it’s not exactly the same taste but pretty close, the inside of the restaurant is identical to the inside of a Dave’s tho. Definitely enjoyed my food, We love Dave’s but the nearest is in Houston from us, we also ate at Blazin Hot Chicken in Baton Rouge and the food is consistent.

Tony Smith I called my order in. When I got there 30 minutes later the store was really busy, lots of people in the lobby. I told them who I was and my order was all ready to go. Paid and left in under two minutes. Good job considering how slammed they were.
