Megumi 21 - (Near Covington, LA)

Zach Watkins Full disclosure: this review was a 4/5 until I saw that Captain America watches you go to the bathroom. That bumps it up. I had a Burger, medium rare, with an egg sunny side up, cheese and bacon and a loaded baked potato. My wife had BBQ shrimp with a fried grits ball. The burger was very good, if messy thanks to the egg (which isnt a complaint). Baked potato was good, but even though it was hot, it didnt melt the cheese very well; some types of cheese dont melt super easy. The shrimp were a little plain, which implies most of the flavor comes from the BBQ sauce, which was good but very fishy. The fried grits were delicious. As an appetizer, we had cheese and bacon fries with sour cream and a side of ranch. While they look a little plain, they are actually delicious also; the cheese sauce was very good (it had dripped to the bottom of the fry pile). Overall a nice hybrid casual restaurant with a nice taste; the decor was tasteful, but the staff were comfortable in T-shirts and jeans. And, most importantly of all, Captain America watch you potty.

norman t Great spot to have a meal and hang with your friends and family. They have a great patio with ceiling fans to keep the air moving and keeping it as cool as it can be. The staff is really friendly and attentive. The drinks and beer are on point and the food was GREAT. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. Also plenty of parking. If your visiting you should for sure check this place. As for locals, Im sure they already know how awesome this place is =)

Byron Rollinson Cane River Commissary, just outside of Natchez, was honestly one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish, and every dish felt like it was made with real care and flavour. I especially loved the meat pies, the po’boy, and the jambalaya — each one was incredible in its own way. The service made the experience even better. Our server was warm and welcoming, and the bartender was amazingly attentive and friendly. It felt like the kind of place where they genuinely want you to have a great time. Between the amazing food and the wonderful people, this is the kind of restaurant you remember long after you leave. I’d go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend it.

Matt Smith My wife and I dined at Gris-Gris prior to attending a concert. Upon arrival at approximately 5:15 pm, we received a warm welcome from the front desk staff and were promptly seated upstairs. Our waitress provided exceptional service, demonstrating attentiveness and kindness throughout our meal. We commenced with the chicken and sausage gumbo as an appetizer, which showcased well-balanced flavors and a remarkably silky texture - truly delicious. For our main course, we opted for the fish of the day, swordfish, which we had not previously tried. The dish was expertly prepared, served atop a bed of roasted zucchini and cherry tomatoes. The fish was exceptionally fresh, and its preparation was flawless; we both concurred that it was the finest fish we had ever had. The accompanying vegetables provided a delightful contrast to the rich, buttery flavor of the fish. Additionally, my Old Fashioned cocktail was expertly crafted. Overall, we highly recommend Gris-Gris for its relaxed atmosphere, premium spirits, and outstanding cuisine. By the way, Paul McCartney was amazing as well!

Brittani First time here but definitely not our last. When I tell yall I’ll be dreaming about these garlic potato’s and fried shrimp I mean it. Our server was so kind and so attentive. 100/10, our new favorite spot!

Rhema Love This was my first time visiting for work and I will definitely be back! Everything was fresh, service was quick and staff were very hospitable! I got a good parking spot across the street with no problem around lunch time. Best place in the city for a quick nutritious meal.
