New Orleans Style Seafood Restaurant & Market - (Near Covington, LA)

5 /5 Shelby Lay: Everything about this place is amazing! From the eye catching building to the restroom that is decorated nicely with a wonderful smell! The staff are super sweet and actually waited on us to order(no pun intended lol), making sure I understood what I was buying. When you walk into the restaurant you see all of these plates that they have made just so the customers know what they’re ordering! Now for the whole reason you clicked on my review. The food was amazing to say the least!! The spinach artichoke dip was delightful. The chips were fresh and slightly sprinkled with a nice bayou seasoning. The Meal box (I believe that’s what it’s called) came with a pound of crawfish, corn and potatoes. I got mine with extra spice. The crawfish was cooked good with a great flavor. The main boil I got was made with essentially a crack sauce!! The flavors danced around in my mouth. The only words I can use to describe it as is “Jesus’s Last Super”! The snow crab was cooked perfectly! Literally melted in my mouth!! I’m not even exaggerating I’d literally sell my brother for another pound! We also had the Redfish with crawfish sauce (it has a specific name but I’m literally in a food coma as I am writing this) over pasta. The red fish was perfectly cooked where it melted in my mouth. It was definitely my favorite. I will definitely be returning in the near future. If only they had a restaurant in Texas! I am not exaggerating when I say this is a MUST STOP on the list while traveling through Louisiana!!

5 /5 Teak Speaks: Got our food quickly I got the ooh wee chicken Poboy it’s fried chicken tossed in some sauce that reminds me of orange chicken and a wee bit of Cane’s sauce. It was really good would definitely recommend the catfish was also good.

5 /5 Sandra G: Was in the mood for some fried seafood. Got the shrimp & catfish platter with a side of hushpuppies. Cornmeal breading was light & crisp, no greasiness at all. Catfish was fresh (zero muddy flavor, just tender and tasty). Shrimp was also nicely cooked. Pretty much what I expected from a side-of-the-road joint with a gravel parking lot: great food, no messing around.

I got a roast bee po-boy and my husband got a cheeseburger which was supposed to be a cheeseburger po-boy. His was amazing and mine was just okay. Not enough roast beef to call this a roast beef po-boy.

5 /5 Ann Hebert: I don’t know where to start. If you haven’t eaten here it is definitely your loss. Everything about this place is amazing. My husband and I have lived in the area all our lives. The is by far the most amazing place we’ve ever eaten. Everything was perfect. So much food for under $20.00. We ordered our fish and oysters fried crispy and the chef didn’t let us down. Our food was fried to perfection. Oh and the potato salad is absolutely delicious, I always thought I made the best but this was hands down the best. Writing this review has made me want to go back today…..See ya there Byeeereee Brooke here we come!!!!! I forgot to tell y’all our server was Brooke and she was 110% on point
