Papas Pit BBQ & more - (Near Ferriday, LA)

Lauri B 9/10/2025: My friend and I had an early birthday dinner for me at GRS. The service was exquisite from start to finish. We started with the complimentary bread with our wine. The butter they serve with the bread has small pieces of course sea salt in it which was divine! It was the best bread and butter I have ever had hands down. For our meal, we ordered the beef wellington and brussels sprouts. Everything was delicious! The servings are large enough to split, especially after the bread and wine. The restaurant is tucked away in a corner of the casino. You have to pass a shop and then a pizza by the slice place to get there. The restaurant is waterside, so the view is pretty. I recommend this place for special occasions. The atmosphere alone is impressive, but then when you add the service and the food, you will be wowed!

Jeff Cee I saw the sign from the interstate “COUNTRY CAFE” It was not worth turning around at next exit, and coming back to!!! You had to go up to the counter and order, no waitress, styrofoam plates and plastic forks…!!!

Kayla Foy Definitely a place to stop at when coming to Amite. They are awesome! No matter what kind of day your having once you walk in and see the smiles on the workers faces and taste whatever you choose to get that day, your going to have a great day. Definitely recommend, trust me you wont regret it.

Jovan Guss The food was delicious and made to order. I ordered the crawfish bites and crab cake. The crab cake was cooked to perfection! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The crawfish bites were my favorite and will be my go to order. They both came with a creamy dipping sauce. 10/10 Also everyone was friendly, the place was clean, and nicely decorated. I will definitely be back!

Melissa Hebert Cafe Oasis was so welcoming and friendly! Great Gumbo, and I’m looking forward to the other wonderful dishes they offer. The staff made us feel like we were at home and was top tier on serving us with hospitality and conversation. Highly recommend!!!
