Red river seafood & sushi -Food CA (Near Alexandria)

Megan Bourne Just moved to area and stumbled upon this gem. Great place for family or to stop in and get something yummy to take home. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. They also have an amazing country store next door! Yall gotta check it out and try the crawfish, bang bang shrimp, steak bites, etc.

Carl Sartori Happened to stumble upon Smitty’s due to a Google search from the highway. Stopped by initially for take out, but decided to stay due to the amazing hospitality. Enjoyed and split a delicious fish po’boy and shrimp po’boy, and some sweet tea. First time in Louisiana, but won’t be the last! Looking forward to returning soon! Highly recommended!!

E C Kegan was sooo awesome. She made sure our family was served and refreshed as often as possible. She outshined our 2nd server we had on the next day ( which was less busy, and less crowded) ( blonde lady didn’t refill our drinks, had to almost track her down to get serviced). Compared to kegan.. kegan is the best. Ask for her. Tip her. Give this Kegan a promotion. She is top tier!!! Awesome, awesome, awesome. Very cool atmosphere as well. Somebody did a nice job! ( - I am an out of towner, don’t know Kegan, glad I met her super sweet lady!!)

Amelia Woolard Had dinner after my wedding here and it was wonderful. Food is delicious, service was fast and easy, the private dining room (pictured) is very spacious, and overall we had a great time. I ordered the manicotti, the stuffed mushrooms, calamari, and prosecco - all fantastic. The bread is also buttery and soft. We can’t wait to come back next time we are in town!

John Daniel Visited on our last night in LaPlace and were kicking ourselves for not going sooner. It was about 8pm on a Monday evening, so it was slow and mostly empty. We had the sweetest server who did a great job taking care of us. The charbroiled oysters were amazing. I had the crawfish boil, which came with shrimp and crab legs, plus corn, potatoes, and sausage. It was more than I could eat by myself. Makes me wish we had a Fiery Crab up in our part of the country.

Austin Crispino Some of the best food I’ve had in my life. We started with a cup of their award winning chicken and sausage gumbo, and their boudin egg rolls. Both were excellent. For our main course we had the queso burger and the Bon Temps shrimp Po Boy with onion rings. I would highly recommend all of these items. The service and atmosphere were outstanding as well.
