RERE SWEETS - (Near Napoleonville, LA)

Sonia R. This is a self-service restaurant: you order and pay at the counter before receiving your food. All drinks are bottled, including water, so no fountain drinks. There are plenty of tables and chairs, plus a couple of booths where you can seat yourself. The space was clean, especially considering we visited just after the lunch rush. Restrooms are available. The cashier was friendly and patient with my many menu questions because it’s a bit tricky to navigate. My son joked about ordering the "chicken $0", which actually reflects the upcharge for choosing chicken as your protein. We were told the food would take 10–15 minutes, but it felt quicker than that. Whether dining in or taking out, everything is served in take-out containers. The portions are very generous for the price. We had plenty of leftovers. Just a note for moms with little ones: the food comes out piping hot, so you’ll want to let it cool a bit before serving. Overall, we had a great experience and plan to return.

Laura C I didnt try the coveted chicken salad, but I loved Basels Market. My Avocado Toast with Fried Egg was fresh, creamy, crispy, and well-seasoned. And its a lovely place – even the bathroom is photo-worthy.

Lizz Genuinely have no idea why this place only has 3 stars. Its family locally owned and literally the best Chinese food Ive EVER had. And thats saying something. I love Chinese food and get it often. This place is a hole in the wall place, but the food is 10/10 and you canNOT beat the price. I just got food with my sister and bf today. Enough food for the three of us to stuff ourselves for $60. Highly recommend this place. The inside is old and outdated, but you cannot beat the food here.

Timothy Bridges I had the catfish filet po-boy and I’ve had the meatloaf daily special. Both were absolutely fabulous! The waitress was very polite and friendly but the food was hands down great! I would recommend everyone to come on down and try it! It makes you feel like home!

Racheal Reed So good. I had the chicken tender meal with sweet potato fries. Man the best ice cream. Im not sure if its homemade but it sure tastes like it is. That was my first time being there.

Jessica White Good price for great food! The atmosphere was great and made us forget we were in Alexandria. Loved that even though they were super busy, they still took great care of us and were very kind. Once seated, our order was taken almost immediately and the food was out in no time. The food was hot, flavorful, and exactly what youd expect it to be. There was no distinction between server and manager which is always nice to see. Everyone was working together. Were definitely going to be regulars!
