Roys Catfish Hut - (Near Kinder, LA)

5 /5 Carolyn Munoz: Stopped at this restaurant over the weekend on our way to the casino as I had previously read the reviews. The staff are friendly and attentive. I loved the salad bar and their macaroni salad is delicious. We ordered the grilled catfish and baked potato. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasty. The sweet tea was awesome. They were busy, but the staff made sure to check on us asking if we needed anything. I highly recommend if you are in town to stop here for a bite to eat.

3 /5 Corey Blouin: Pros: The food was absolutely fantastic. Hot, fresh, crunchy. This is true for the catfish, fries, onion straws, and hush puppies. The tartar sauce, more like fry sauce, was great. The prices were great. Overall, great. Cons: Our server was very inattentive/uninterested. We spent a lot of time with no interaction. We seemed like an inconvenience.

4 /5 Amber Ray: First, there were two young lady’s that were at the front when my husband and I walked in. We kind of thought for a minute that we were invisible to them. They were talking amongst themselves. They didn’t greet us. It didn’t take too long, but finally we were seated. There weren’t many people there. It was about an hour before they closed. The food came out fast. It was hot and delicious. Our server was great. The salad bar was not the best. The walls were bare. I think it would be nice if they had something on the walls or something to decorate the place with. I think it would liven the place up a bit. It wasn’t so bad that I would never go back because the positive definitely outweighs the negative.

5 /5 Norma Fontenot: We arrived right before a storm hit. The lights kept going off and on. The staff was persistent in getting our meals out in case they lost electricity. The food was so good and we were happy to be able to enjoy with the lights on.
