Ruby Slipper - (Near Baton Rouge, LA)

Media Parpana Bonta del Ferno Italian Restaurant is a exceptional dining experience. We celebrated my daughters 29th birthday there last night.  Upon arrival, the front of the restaurant has a beautiful welcoming outdoor seating area. Very nice for waiting and conversation. The fountain was so very elegant and provides a great photo opportunity. We had reservations and was seated immediately. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and has an inviting atmosphere. The staff was so attentive and accommodating to my family and I. For starters we got the calamari. It was the best I have ever had. Seasoned, lightly battered  goodness paired with a delicious marinara sauce. My family and I ordered different meals. Lasagna, Chicken Marsala, and Veal Parmesan. Every dish was absolutely delicious. I can not say enough good things. If you want a true Italian dining experience come and eat at Bonta del Ferno!

M Luis (Lou M) Stopped in for a beer and dinner, sat at the bar (they have a couple of TVs) and bartender was friendly and efficient. They give you a free order of Chips and Salsa (a very large portion I might add)...had the ground beef quesadilla and it was excellent and again a very large portion...Ive traveled extensively around the country and often try Mexican restaurants and I would have to say this was one of the best Ive ever been to, very reasonably priced as well. Would definitely recommend and cant wait for a return visit.

Dustin Hodge Hands down one of the best restaurants i have tried in over a decade. We did the Sunday brunch & I have to say it was phenomenal. My personal favorite was the gumbo, not to rich & not to watery. The Boudin, egg flauta, pork roast, white gravy & chicken& waffles were on point. Our server was really sweet & helpful, didnt catch her name but has a butterfly tattoo on her neck. I live about 45 minutes away, but will make a point to stop by here again.

Aaron N Excellent job. The salsa was spicy and also had citrus flavor. I assume from line. Loved it. The supreme burrito plate was excellent as well as my wifes chicken taco salad. The crust for the salad was fluffy crispy but not greasy. Also it was chicken fajita meat not the typical shredded wet meat that you get in tacos salads. Very impressed and reasonable prices too.

Nikhil Thomas Very quick service and the appetizer was out pretty quickly. I had the crab puffs for appetizers and they were huge pieces. Normally you get small pieces and these definitely worth it for the price. For the entree I had the Volcano Roll #2. It was also good, huge portions once again and I was not able to finish the entire roll.

Sara Goodrich They were packed the day we went. We had a reservation and was told we may potentially need to wait because the tables were taking a while. Luckily we didn’t have to wait. My husband and I ordered the Cajun corn dip, the crab cakes (appetizer), a cup of Gumbo, and the blackened duck. We got everything fairly quickly. Only the duck took a while but still fast for having every table filled. Everything was phenomenal. We were so impressed with the blackened duck. It was juicy and the fat was rendered well. The corn dip was super tasty and came with plenty of tortilla chips. The crab cakes were the best. My husband isn’t very fond of them but he loved them, especially since it isn’t so heavy on the breading. Our server was Karla W and she was fantastic, checking on us often without being disruptive. She was kind, informative, and efficient. We highly recommend this place. We were in and out within an hour on a busy night!
