2 /5 Paz Monica (MP): The restaurant is really clean and nice on the inside. However, the explanation you get is tricky and confusing. Now we eat out all the time and frequent the Thai restaurant and bakery/coffee shop in the same strip mall. The lunch plates I was asking about, thought the two flauta’s which Hondurans say tacos. was $14.99, I literally asked if it was a plate as the lunch items and the girl said yes. So I can get the plate or alacarte just the two? She said I can get just the two, I said fine I will take two alacarte with the salads/toppings on the side. Well when she put the order in and came back. She rang it up and noticed the price. I asked her to clarify, and she said no $14.99 for only the two tacos. I said that’s not what we talked about a few moments ago. Now there was no language barrier as she spoke English, however this is ridiculous. Now I am not cheap by any means, love a good restaurant, but come on. Los Catrachos, and all the others are at $7.99 for four (Los Catrachos), here for &14.99 you get two tacos. Also, all your lunch plates with the side items are all relatively in the same price category. Nonetheless, the baleadas were good, but the tacos were not hot and she placed all the salad items on top of the two tacos (flautas- that’s what the look like), and forgot my extra two orders of crema that I paid for, also for my refund of $14.99 plus tax that was on my credit card, for that one order I took off due to the lack of menu understanding and the girl not properly explaining, she gave me $15.00 cash, not with the tax. Not being picky or anything, it is just the principal. At the end of the day, I will continue to frequent all the other local westbank Honduran restaurants, especially the ones off Stumpf Blvd. I do not appreciate the service I received and the lack or menu understanding from the order counter who was extremely confusing and did not follow my instructions. Her rebuttal was “that’s how we do separate” for the tacos but I explained that I wanted the “salads” on the side as it was to go and I do not like the tacos wet and falling apart when I get home to dine. They also need to revisit their menu and compare to other locals for items they need to list more as “alacarte” items. I love eating out and it’s a shame this restaurant will not have our business. I am just being honest and it is the principal of it all, from a very experienced restaurant enthusiast.
Oh I forgot to add, the baleadas - are very lightly filled and grouped like a ball in the middle. Mostly all flour harina tortilla. See photos. This is why I believe they wrap it like a burrito. You can see by photo tortilla is 3/4 only harina tortilla. This is the baleada with everything “con todo”.
