5 /5 Terrie Hancock: Shays, a great place to come and eat and dine, they shall very good hospitality and warmness. The food is great and the service is excellent. Everytime family members and I come to town we always come here to eat. The atmosphere is very warm. Thank you well see you soon.

1 /5 Craig Hodge: Canned gravy???? I had the open face burger. It comes with I can only assume to be canned mushroom gravy. I ordered onion rings and greens for sides. Sir, we are out of greens. Ok, please bring me the okra. Okra had no flavor. Pattie tasted like it came in a jumbo box from a warehouse club. I ordered half and half tea. It was sour, so I ordered a Dr Pepper. I had one glass and had to get up to find the waitress to get a refill. Sir…. We are out of Dr Pepper. I’ll take a Coca Cola. Sir, we are out of Coca Cola, all we have are diet drinks and lemonade. Ugh, bring me the lemonade. Sir, we are out of lemonade…. Bring me the check please. Onion rings were “ok”. Plenty of parking. Guessing there will be more parking spaces very soon. Prices are not comparable to the quality of food. No where close…

1 /5 Brandy Harms: I’m not a real picky person, but I do watch and listen to the atmosphere and feel I am knowledgeable on a few things. When you let the waitress know there are gnats (not flies) as a decent issue at the booth where they are bad enough to be in your food land or your drink if you don’t pay attention to them (keeping you from enjoying your food), the response of the waitress should not be “that is probably from the door being opened and closed a lot”. When the waitress is asked, “What is the seasoning of a meat dish…?”, I shouldn’t hear guesses. In fact they need to be shown and taught how to deal with restaurant customer service better. I have done it for years. Then, if said that the food wasn’t good after being asked, there should have been something done about it. Most of it was still on the plate due to the taste and not being able to force eat it anymore. Since the penny coin isn’t being made anymore, I should have been told its exact change when using cash (since I was told the banks aren’t handing them out anymore…?) because I was given $.10 instead of $.12. There should be a round up and round down for cash payers. If card then it will be exact. That’s how the states in the north are doing it.

5 /5 Troy David: When traveling for work, I always try to find a local place and Shays did not disappoint! I had a perfectly grilled pork chop, fried okra and a sweet tea. I was the only one in the restaurant after the lunch rush, beside the "Walmart Sisters", the owners mother and the staff. It was fun listening to them just talk away while I enjoyed the perfect lunch. Made me feel like I was at home...

2 /5 Jarrett Hatfield: Arrived at 10am on a Sunday. Placed order around 10:05-10:10am. Was informed after ordering that the lunch menu was not available at this time so 2 of our party of 7 changed orders to a breakfast order from a lunch order. 10:35am arrives and our food arrives (the place was alomst empty). 1 of the 2 that changed their order got a breakfast platter but subbed grits for hashbrowns. When it arrived it had gritz so we informed the server and they said, "We are swapping to lunch so the kitchen cant make the hashbrowns." Then one of our omelettes doesnt arrive so we say something to the server who says its coming. We overhear that server asking for another omelette to the kitchen. So basically this place has horrendous service and mid food. Once our food arrived it was lukewarm and to get a refill you have flag down a server even though there were less than 4 tables with people.
