Swamp Monster Restaurant - (Near Franklinton, LA)

5 /5 Carol Campsey: A lovely little place. We were passing thru and saw it. My husband said it was the best shrimp and grits he has ever had. I had the kids shrimp and fries. We had blueberry cheesecake for dessert. We would definitely come this way again just to eat here. A definite must try.

5 /5 Andrea F: I was in the area looking at things to do and noticed this restaurant with a theme, and I do love a good theme. Parking is plenty, street parking. I got the Filthy Swamp Thing to eat there and the OMG Burger to take home to eat later. It was all so delicious! I could not finish the Filthy Swamp Thing there, so I brought half of it home. Prices were a bit on the high side, but everything was so huge, it was worth it. Service was amazing. The waitress was very friendly. I will be back if I am in the area again!

5 /5 Ashlee Thompson: We stopped in for a bite while traveling, seemed like a cool place - and it was! The owner was fantastic, very friendly. His daughter was our server and she was just as friendly. Food was great! The decor was great! You can definitely tell that the owner pours his heart into his restaurant.

5 /5 Terry Murray: I was immediately intrigued by the quirky atmosphere of Swamp Monster Restaurant. There was so much to look at outside and inside. Plenty of seating greeted us inside, plus a very friendly, helpful server. Our menus were immediately given and our drinks almost immediately after that...large and icy. Upon finding that we were from Canada we were treated to a sample bowl of very yummy gumbo. It was rich and flavourful. We all ordered burgers, which were very generous, and fries for accompaniment which were golden and crispy. We didnt try the days special, which was Monster Mash, a mound of mashed potatoes topped with a burger pattie and gravy but it did sound good. After eating, the owner came out and to greet us and joined us in conversation for a while at our table. It was a lovely time all around.
