3 /5 Sheri Jenkins: Overrated … over priced food mediocre service don’t know menu…Togo orders never correct.. then when they offer you to fix it next time you are in they don’t know what your talking. Just too much hype for an average place that serves Sysco foods. Sushi is good. If they didn’t charge NYC PRICES. Remember it’s Amite Louisiana

5 /5 Lindsey Nelson: We visited The Boston Restaurant on a Saturday and were sat very quickly. The atmosphere of the restaurant was good and they seemed busy, so I took that as a good sign. They offered a wide variety of dishes ranging from salads, steak, sandwiches and even sushi! My husband ordered the Cevichi salad (not pictured) and the Flaming Lips roll. Both were excellent! I had a grilled chicken Caesar salad and my son had the steak tips. The chicken and steak were flavorful and cooked perfectly. We all enjoyed our dishes and I would recommend The Boston Restaurant!

5 /5 Laurie Rials: Sometimes we go against the reviews and we did this time. Arrived at 1:30, hostess was friendly, seated quickly. Ordered fish lunch with salad and one with sautéed green beans, the other with fried rice. Everything was delicious. Fish was crunchy and juicy. Beans were amazing, had some crunch. Fried rice was very good. Had the cheesecake of the month, cookies and cream for Halloween. Dessert was amazing. Would return. Server was Ragean, excellent.

5 /5 Corey Benoit: We just returned from eating at the Boston for my birthday, it was our first time and definitely won’t be the last. It was highly recommended by my co-worker, it didn’t disappoint. I had the crab cakes for an appetizer, they were very good and seasoned just right. I had the Filet with the seasoned potatoes and grilled zucchini. Everything was great, the steak was just right. All in all a good experience, we will definitely be coming back. Thanks for a great Birthday dinner .

4 /5 Private: Mid October we ate at this restaurant since we were at Amite and had heard such rave reviews about it. This was our first time going here and we had a party of four. When we walked in there wasnt that many people in there yet it took a few minutes before anybody was able to sear us. The first impression of the place seems a little fancier than most restaurants, but not anything extravagant. It was our first time here so after placing our order for our drinks, we requested more time to look at the menu. The waitress came back twice and we finally placed our order. Theres a lot on the menu to choose from and it had the sink in a little bit as to exactly what I want. Most of us decided to go with the sushi varieties and my son ordered a cheeseburger. He likes a plain cheeseburger so its not anything extravagant. The order took quite a while to come to the table and I imagine it was probably because of the sushi. I will say that it wasnt that bad and it was okay. The cheeseburger however, the bun was burnt and the meat itself was dry. Upon finishing my meal it took a while for anybody to come by and take our payment or give us the bill. The waitress came back I believe once to fill our drinks which is not quite enough service. The extremely long wait for a bill and the burnt cheeseburger is what made me decide. I will not be back. Also the cost was a little bit steep for the quality and the service was very poor. Im not sure what people rave about when it comes to this place, but definitely to my experience it was very low on a scale of quality. If I were in Amite again and was looking to dine out. I would definitely make an effort to drive back to Hammond for a choice of dining. I think its a shame that the place has some originality but yet it was very disappointing. Its got potential however the waitress that we had provided poor service, the wait time to be seated even though there was nobody in front of us and there was only a few tables occupied, combined with the price of the items would make me recommend anywhere but this place. This is an unbiased and honest review and its not anything other. Ive personally never heard of the place and it was other people who had told me of it. Im not sure what theyre used to but my experience was not a good one. I only took what was remaining home for the dogs. But I threw the bun away because it was definitely burnt. Black carbon thats actually a carcinogen when it gets to this point. My son actually ate half of it and normally he would eat the whole thing at other places. Anybody who has any food experience working in a kitchen should have seen that this was unacceptable. I want to say out of all fairness I really did enjoy the place. I think its original and different. I think some things could have been improved, however it may have just been a bad day for someone. Were all humans and things happen. More than likely Ill try this place again.
