MADHUSUDHAN REDDY I had Mixed Parotta at Golden Indian Restaurant & Desi Dhaba, and it really felt like stopping at a highway dhaba in India. The parotta was fresh and big in size, and they served small cubes of butter which were more than enough. They also gave me a cup of dahi that tasted just like Indian village curd. I even took some curd culture home to make my own. They also offered Desi-style mango pickle, which added even more authentic taste.
The gentleman at the reception was very kind, the service was nice, and the portion size was perfect. The atmosphere is simple, just like a real dhaba, but the taste is really good.
Anyone travelling on I-20 from Dallas to Monroe should definitely try this place.
