Garry Arnold Jr. Growing up in Jersey, I’ll be honest — I’m pretty hard to impress when it comes to Italian food, and especially pizza. A lot of places in the South just don’t hit the same. That’s why Milano’s Italian Grill means so much to us. My wife and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary here, and from the moment we walked in, it was clear how much care they put into what they do. Our table was beautifully set with flowers and placemats, the food was outstanding, and the service made the night feel genuinely special — not rushed, not scripted, just thoughtful. The calamari, chicken piccata, stuffed eggplant, and yes — even the pizza — reminded me why this place feels like home to someone who grew up with real Italian food. They even surprised us at the end, which was incredibly kind and completely unexpected. Huge thank you to Labi and the entire staff for going above and beyond. Nights like this are why Milano’s isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a place people remember.

B.J. Gober This is a restaurant thats been in business for fifty years. For individual small chain that should tell ya they are good. Very large menue selection. The three of us had no complaints on the quality of the food. Service was quick and friendly. Try one of the Louisiana favorites.

Walter James Great food! Swamp bread for appetizer, different yet flavorful and delicious. Would definitely try again! The burger was well seasoned and the wings were great!

Courtney Weaver Lola’s has brunch now! I’ve lived in the neighborhood for a few years now and I was delighted to discover they’ve started a brunch service on the weekends. Everything was incredible and our server, Courtney, took very good care of us. I highly recommend the Persian Love Cake Waffles and the Shrimp & Grits. I also ordered a Paloma and enjoyed the breakfast potatoes. The ambiance is beautiful and the presentation and balance of flavors was incredible. The best shrimp and grits I’ve eaten in recent memory!

Lisa Peterson We stayed at the Copper Vine Inn for our anniversary this year and had an amazing experience! From being offered a drink and a spot to relax when we checked in prior to getting our keys, to the delicious complimentary breakfast on the upstairs patio in the morning before we checked out, our entire stay was wonderful. The room was very clean, extremely well put together, and had the most luxurious bathroom we’ve ever had the fortune of experiencing at a hotel. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs, and it was phenomenal as always. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and the grits were savory and perfectly paired with the salty collards. The chicken sandwich was also delicious. Nice and light, but filling. The location is also amazing; easy to get to, easy parking, and a perfect spot to stay if you’re in town for a game or concert. The innkeepers and staff were all extremely kind and genuinely interested in how our stay was going and making it better any way they could. We can’t recommend the Copper Vine Inn enough for a comfortable and relaxing stay in the city!
