Petra Restaurant & Lounge - Laplace
Chris Pickrell An excellent and quiet little place. I had the soup du jour, picture attached. It had finely diced tomato chunks, excellent flavor, and was well present. I did not rely on heavy cream to explode with flavor. It was quite salty, which I prefer, but some may find it too much.
I followed that with the Petra Pasta. It was full of seafood, to the point of nearly overpowering the cream sauce. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the portion was very generous.
The waitress was polite, helpful, and kept a quiet distance. Just enough to be attentive without interrupting.
The surrounding shopping plaza is a little off putting, but this a definitely worth trying.
